Yu Darvish

Notice anything odd about the photo of Yu Darvish above?

How about now that you look at these two photos?

Yep, the right-handed Darvish was throwing left-handed. According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, Darvish occasionally plays catch left-handed to keep both arms strong and balanced.

I always wonder why there aren't any ambidextrous pitchers out there. One who would pitch left handed to a left handed batter, and right handed to a right handed one. And what would happen if a switch hitter batted? Would they flip a coin to see who pitches and bats from what side?

Would it be fair to say colby Lewis is a successful Japanese League pitcher?  he did pitch there for a year or two before he came back to the Rangers as a very solid starter.  Sure he started in MLB but he stunk it up his first stint.  So the Rangers have had success with Japanese pitchers.
