Another turn in the Vick case

The news continues to be not-so-good for Eagles QB Michael Vick. Remember how Vick apparently had left the restaurant where his birthday party was held long before one of his former dog-fighting associates was shot last week?

Well, it might not have happened exactly like that.

According to the Hampton Roads Daily Press , Vick’s entourage left the Guadalajara restaurant at 2:07 a.m., three minutes before gunshots rang out. This, according to the surveillance video the restaurant turned over to police Tuesday.

Vick attorney, Larry Woodward, did not sound pleased with the apparent confliction of the video and what he had claimed earlier.

"I stand by what I said, that Michael was long gone before the shooting, does not know who did the shooting and had nothing to do with the shooting," Woodward told the newspaper. "Anyone who says any different better be very careful."

Another turn in the Vick case

Why do these athletes think they are untouchable, especially a sociopath like Vick. Agreed that nothing good comes at last-call, but hey what do I know?  How many felons can get out and make a few million?  Vick should be toast, as in, no more NFL.

Is Vick loyal to a fault (or just plain dumb) for even being around the friends involved in the dogfighting? yes
Is that a crime? no

It is a parole violation for him to be in association with anyone involved in the dogfighting case.

So wait, we have Video EVIDENCE that Vick wasnt at the restaurant when the shots rang out. What difference does it make how long he had been gone? If he gets in any sort of trouble for this (barring some major twist in the situation) then its just ridiculous.

Do you have to be convicted to get suspended by Rog?
nope, you dont even have to be charged, all you have to do is conduct detrimental to the image of the NFL. But in this situation there is yet to be any reason to think Vick was doing anything wrong or stupid. In fact you could very easily make the case that Vick was at the party, things started getting rowdy and he knew he needed to avoid any trouble so he left. Then one of his friends who hadn't left yet got involved in the next level of rowdiness. So maybe Vick made the correct and responsible decision in the situation.

It is a free country. Goodell, the NFL and the media need ot remember this. The NFL is acting like a communist state. Goodell needs to qyit playing favorites - Young, Lewis & Patriots.

So if the shouting happened at 9pm while he was there does that matter? Is 2:07 the magical numb er to not be at a bar....he went to a bar went some family/friends. He may wanna rethink ever going back there as it smells like trouble with a capital T in that neighborhood, ya think?!?!?!?!.

Brains are given at birth and developed. I can tell he missed both aspects unfortunately. He's a simple product of his surroundings.

When will he have enough? I feel like any normal person would be miles away from trouble, but i guess not.  I am wondering where this video is, or will it magically disappear like the video of mike in the airport when he had a "suspicious grassy substance" hahaha!
