Haynesworth: 'I'm tired of this BS'

Albert Haynesworth failed his second conditioning test on Friday morning -- after failing a test on Thursday as well -- and is quickly becoming the biggest NFL training camp storyline . (Brett Favre is likely not pleased.)

Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan had some pointed comments on Thursday night , but he wasn't alone. Haynesworth told NBC4 in DC , "I'm tired of this B.S., I just want to get on the field and play football."

The good (?) news for Haynesworth is that he'll get a THIRD shot to pass the test on Saturday, according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post .

Reid also notes two more things of interest: 1) Haynesworth must complete two 300-yard shuttle runs, according to sources, in under 71 seconds and 2) some players have "privately expressed concern" that Shanahan is simply trying to make an example out of Haynesworth.

If that's the case, it's certainly working.

Update (11:58): Washington made strength and conditioning coach Ray Wright available to the media. He confirmed that the test is indeed two 300-yard shuttle runs. The first must be completed in 70 seconds or less, and is followed by a two minute break, with a second 300-yard run that must be completed in 70-73 seconds. He also added, according to the WaPo 's Rick Maese on Twitter , that, "I expect him to pass it soon."

Shanahan did this dumb s- hit before. Don't do it the right way, do it "Shanahan's way."

Back when Elway retired, the year after the Superbowl, QB Bubby Brister played well in a few regular season games in the past and was great in preseason.  He was going to be the started.  Well, Brister said something that pissed off Shanahan so he refused to play him.

He started rookie QB Brian Griese who was PUTRID.  Even though Griese started out 0-5 with 15 INT in the first 5 games, Shanahan would not replace him.  The final of 4 ints Griese threw in one game, RB Terrell Davis blew out his new (tore everything) trying to make a tackle.  It was a career ending injury.

Because of Shanahan's sheer stubborness and stupidty he:
1. Threw away an entire season after winning the Superbowl.
2. And ruined the career of a hall of fame running back.

I would have never hired this guy for anything.  He's a fool.

So Ganjamancer says Shanahan is a weasel and a jackass..So i guess you know the man personally...Any coach worth his weight needs good personnel to win..Could have Jimmy Johnson not have been so victorious down at Dallas without the "Triplets'???..If Haynesworth had showed up in a little better shape he might be better in the conditioning drill..And if he does'nt want to play in the NT position or 3-4 defense then he should give the money back and say so long...Not to many players can walk around and say that they wont do this or that and still get the money A.H. did...I believe that Shanahan will get the team turned around with the help of Bruce Allen as long as Daniel Synder will give them space to do their jobs....

Shanahan is a weasel, this a power play designed to humiliate Haynesworth who is absolutely right in this fiasco, the Redskins are absolutely wrong. When Haynesworth was a FA he said plainly that he would not sign with a 3-4 team because he is not a NT. Having watched his career at both levels I have to agree. He is a disruptive DT not a NT who absorbs blocks and holds his ground. Its a waste of his talent to put him in that position and only a fool would agree with the Redskins approach.

No doubt in my mind that moment the  put him on the field at NT he is going to come up with a groin or hamstring pull, which cannot be seen on an MRI and Shanahan and Allen are going to eat crow.

Oh yeah...@hawkrew, no true Chiefs fan would ever have anything nice to say about 'The Weasel' I am disgusted that you would put 'I am a Chiefs fan' in your post alongside praise for Shanahan. He is a jackass that could not win without Elway and will continue to be a mediocre coach for a mediocre team. Ill give him 3 years which he never breaks .500 before Danny boy fires his ass and we never see him in the NFL again.

You're just a bitter Chiefs fan.  While I'm not saying Shanahan is going to lead the Skins to the promise land, I have to say that it's refreshing to see a real coach take control of the team and all of these spoiled prima donna players that now plague the NFL.   Back in the old days the other vets would have given him a good old fashion and well deserved military style blanket party (for those of you who don't know what i'm talking about,  in the military they would sneak up on you while you were sleeping and a couple guys would tape your mouth shut andthrow a blanket on top of you hold you down so you couldn't get away while the rest of the company wacked you with a bar of soap wrapped up in a pillow case or shirt. After that you never got out of line I don't feel sorry for his overpaid lazy ass.  He's not lived up to his end of the bargain, when your getting paid the $ he's receiving you get your ass out their and do whatever the coach says to do and you don't a professional.. which is a concept most cannot grasp these days.

I would say fat and stupid is not a way to go through life, but it seems to have worked out well for him.
