Jason Reid of the Washington Post has done an excellent job keeping everyone abreast on the latest with each Albert Haynesworth conditioning test. Reid writes that, after failing is first two tests, Haynesworth will not be taking the test today. Thus, the defensive tackle will miss his third day of practice.

He is expected to tackle the test again Sunday. Coaches had said Friday that Haynesworth would take his third crack at the test on Saturday morning, but coaches and team officials were apparently privy to the decision to wait until Sunday.

Haynesworth did make a brief appearance at practice, taking the field with a jersey but no helmet or pads. He stayed about 10 minutes, did not partake in any drills, but watched his fellow linemen and conferred with line coach Jacob Burney.

Though he's missed the team's first three practices, Haynesworth had worked with coaches on the far practice field following each practice.

Defensive end Phillip Daniels said Friday that the sprinting drill, which consists of two 300-yard shuttle runs, becomes increasingly difficult the more consecutive days a player attempts to run it. But Ray Wright, the Redskins' strength and conditioning coach, disputed that assertion.

"There's a pace you have to have, a certain tempo each 25 yards, and I expect him to pass it pretty soon," Wright said on Friday.

UPDATE: Haynesworth is reportedly experiencing swelling in his knee.

Haynesworth delaying latest conditioning test

He is so out of shape he can't run this over and over????? I know he must be tired from all the treadmill work and single man drills with the cond. coach and def. co-ordinator -NOT . But if he was in shape coming in this test should be no problem. What is it with his knee swelling up now. That is a tell tale sign he hasn't been working out at a high level. Ivan Carter one of the anchors from CSN ran it in 64 sec. and 67 sec. respectfully. Now I will grant you this guy was about 200lbs but still AH should be in pro-level shape this guy rides a desk for a living!!!!! This is really starting to look bad!!!!!
