Brandon McDonald is making a fool of himself

Browns cornerback Brandon McDonald’s vulgar Tweet after the Terrell Owens signing irked coaches and team executives – and rightfully so. The Tweet was outlandishly crude and has been removed from McDonald’s account. If you’re so inclined, you can read the bold italicized text (if you’re not up for vulgarity, just skip ahead).B. McDonald (US Presswire)

"TO to da Bengals huh??? Yessss, another piece of p**** fa da Browns secondary to (slang term referring to either group sex or gang rape) ... Let's Goooo!!!! ITS TRU"

Monday, McDonald talked about the Tweet in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"It started out as a joke and it's escalated to what it is now," he said after Monday's Browns practice. "I really didn't mean anything by it. It was a bad decision on my part.

"One thing I don't want to do is cause a distraction to this team and I think that's what it has become. The way it was taken is not really how it was meant.  I take full responsibility for it and it won't happen again."

Eric Mangini has spoken to his players about the dangers of Tweeting. He said McDonald could face consequences for his actions. It should be noted that McDonald has already lost his starting job (his behavior was not a factor – his atrocious play in 2009 was). He is fighting for the No. 4 cornerback duties. His showboating in a recent practice (an unnecessary dive into the end zone after an interception return) didn’t go over well. We could be watching a decent but inconsistent young athlete digging his own grave.

Kurt:  Oh, and go ahead and rip the Browns for "falling off the map". You might have had a point a few years back, but this is the year that the Browns leapfrog the aging Steelers in the division. Hope you Steeler fans are ready for the cellar of the AFCN

Are you serious when you say this?  I understand talking smack but this is too funny.  The Browns MIGHT win five games this year and the Steelers will likely walk off with the division.

Hey  loser who do you hang out with that raped 2 women in 2 years? We  all know that rape is far worse than some dumb twitter post . Butyou asking such a dumb ? makes me wonder about your overall intelligence You like the direction your team heading where is the direction you finished last in the AFC North last year and you will finish last last this year. You do not have to be that smart to figure that out loser

Easy solution...?

My personal opinion on the comments themself is just that he's no different from tons of other players in the league who come from questionable backgrounds and aren't smart enough to straighten out. No one should be offended or surprised by what he said.

But more importantly, how has this not been solved already? When you are coaching a team that already has no chance of winning anything significant and is clearly in a building stage, what are you honestly losing in cutting a fool like this?  I suppose the decision is whether they should come in last in the division or come in last in the division.

The very fact that this loser has a Twitter account (and that someone actually reads ANY Twitter posts) is crazy.

Why would any adult "follow" someone they don't know on Twitter?  Especially this fool who NO ONE knows?
