Torry Holt done for the season

So much for Torry Holt being the No. 3 wide receiver in New England this year. The Patriots have placed the 11-year veteran on Injured Reserve.

Holt had gone from possibly the No. 3 receiver to a man fighting for the No. 6 job. He has been battling a knee.

This marks the end of the season for the 34-year-old, and possibly the end of a Hall of Fame-worthy career.

Torry Holt done for the season

Longevity is so overrated, so what if he put up 500 yards a year for 5 more years to make his stat total look more impressive. It's what you do in your prime years that count. And winning a Superbowl is the cherry on top of all them great numbers that insures the Hall of fame. Other than his rookie year when they won the Superbowl Torry was actually a bit better than Bruce.

But back on topic: I think Torry Holt gets in as well based on his numbers and being a part of that great offense.
THAT should be an interesting year or two in five with Warner, Bruce, Holt and Pace.

Marshall is eligible for Canton starting this coming year.  You're right that Pace should also get in.  And while I like London Fletcher and what he brought to that very underrated Rams defense, I don't know yet if he is HOF-worthy.

It's a shame to see Holt have to possibly end his career this way.  I always enjoyed watching him play.  Those Rams teams he played on with Faulk, Warner, Bruce, and Pace really were impressive.

I think you'll be lucky to see one of them get in, period.  Just winning a Super Bowl doesnt get you in. Wow, you know little.  Warner's been to 3 Super Bowls, won 2 regular season MVPs, and 1 Super Bowl MVP.  HoF lock.

Isaac Bruce is currently #2 in all time receiving yards, #9 in TDs, and #5 in receptions.  If he's not in, it's highway robbery.

Torry Holt is currently #10 all time in receiving yards, #11 in receptions, but only #27 in TDs.

In my opinion, Holt would be the possible exclusion, but I've heard many people say that he's a HoF lock.

Add Orlando Pace, Marshall faulk, and most likely London Fletcher to that awesome HOF team along with those 3.

Torry Holt, you were amazing....it would be amazing to see Holt, Kurt Warner and Isaac Bruce all inducted in the HOF in the same year!!!

I think you'll be lucky to see one of them get in, period.  Just winning a Super Bowl doesnt get you in.
