Harrison thinks Orton 'got what he had coming'

A quarterback running his mouth to a linebacker makes some sense, maybe. Unless it's the preseason, in which it's silly. Or, if it's a preseason game and that quarterback be forced to try and stop that linebacker from scoring on the return of a fumble. Then it's just flat-out dumb.

Fortunately, that actually happened on Sunday night with Kyle Orton and James Harrison.

"I don't know if I hit him or he hit me," Orton said.

Actually, Kyle, Harrison ABSOLUTELY hit you. Need proof? Go here and fast forward to the 1:00 mark . But why on Earth would Harrison spot Orton kind-of/sort-of trying to get in his way and then proceed to lower try and break Neckbeard's face?

"He was running his mouth and getting in the way of the train," Harrison said. "And the train wasn't coming off the track."

"He was popping off down there the first time they were about to score," Harrison said, referring to the Broncos' game-opening touchdown drive. "So you run your mouth, expect to get something. Everything's between the lines, so he got what he had coming."

Really, the "tackle" -- for both parties -- is just ridiculous. Harrison's definitely went after Orton on purpose, but he's right: field of play and whatnot. More importantly, though, is what the hell Orton was thinking; he supposedly was trying to stop Harrison but he really just took a dive.

As the only person standing between a full season of Tim Tebow and Brady Quinn vying for starts, he needs to know better than that.

I think they had something like 4 personal fouls in that game.  Really?   In preseason.   Have some class.

SO Ortons not hurt and Harrison didn't even get the fumble on the record...
Anyone else this that Harrison is hurting himself here? Saying that he got what he deserved doesnt really mean much, but in this day when the NFL is trying to be safe and protect players (especially QB's) don't you think that Harrison could be bringing unwanted attention to himself? He might have well said "I wanted to hurt him and don't care if I did" and that puts a target on your back for penalties, suspensions and fines. A D player shouldn't want the NFL to have any more reason to watch them closely to make sure they aren't roughing or anything. This comment kind of reminds me of players saying they are gonna go after an injured part of a player prior to the game. Don't really know if its gonna have any affect, but if it does, Id bet it makes a few more "official" people pay attention to the way Harrison hits and it might come back to bite him.

I'm gonna throw out some names at some point because my reply will end up on like page 5 or something; another improvement that needs to be made to this site is in the comments section as far as structure.  To all the steelers fans in here, please, just shut up.  Tomlins Steelers are CLASSLESS.  They're a bunch of punks, really.  Number one reason they need Cowher back; these BOYS wouldn't breathe unless he told them to...and he would've cut Big Ben's dick off at the start of camp after what he did last year.  The bottom line is, and I hope this message reaches the masses loud and clear, the steelers won't be able to compete in the AFC North w/o that reduced suspension.  That's how far they've fallen...2 weeks makes all the difference.  I hope Goodell doesn't make the first of two huge mistakes, and let everyone know that this punk IS bigger than the game.  Finally to _admin and p621806, thanks for the insight.  This comment about jedi mind tricks and sacks of wet mice...priceless.  Funniest Post Ever (FPE)!  Lol!

The Steelers got what they had coming.....a 34-17 blow-out. They talk the talk and then throw a bunch of INT's for TD's....where's the walk??

Ben will get what he has coming and the Steelers will get an 0-4 start.
