Reports surfaced earlier -- starting with the awesomely named 'Nati blog Three Way Chili 'Nati -- that Antwan Odom was facing a four-game suspension for a positive test of a banned substance.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk confirmed the potentially looming suspension, but that might not have been necessary, as Odom himself tweeted a confirmation of a positive test earlier.
To my fans and teammates: Please don't believe the rumors. Yes I tested positive for a banned substance but it wasn't steroids or PEDs. More details to come but for now it's a league issue that's under appeal. Just know that I would never cheat to gain an edge in this game that I love. Don't lose your faith in me and please don't pass judgement based on vicious rumors until all the facts are known. Thank you for all your support I really need it now. I all of you, Antwan Yes, that does sound similar to Brian Cushing's situation, thanks for asking. Except that Odom's not waiting until the end of the year to discuss it. Guess he learned the lesson in terms of managing publicity and handling things before they get out of hand.

Odom's case should be interesting too, considering the Bengals play against the Patriots in Week 1. If the league is already looking into scheduling an appeal, Foxboro isn't that far from New York City.

And certainly since Odom has now taken the discussion of why he failed a test public, they won't want to allow him to play the entire season under scrutiny from the press, the public and opponents.

And the Bengals may want to get the suspension out of the way as well: following the Pats, they play the Ravens, but then get the Panthers, Browns and Buccaneers, the latter two being about as easy a set of games as anyone can get.

Just a side note, Cushing never was a Bengal at all, not really sure why you listed him with them.

Bengals Organization should be Banned for Life

This entire organization is a joke.  Who's running the asylum? Mike Brown is a bum.  Why doesn't anybody hold him accountable for the years of hoodlums and embarrassments that he's recruited to play on his team?  Marvin Lewis should also be taken to task. This team has a bigger PR issue than the Portland Jailblazers had.  They need character guys on this team.  Here are just some examples that come to mind of guys with either on/off field problems, arrests/primadonnas or just bad locker room guys:

Odom - banned substance
Cushing - banned subtance
T.O. - don't get me started
Chris Henry (RIP) - too many legal issues to list here
AJ Nicholson burglary/vandalism/domestic violence/grand theft
Frostee Rucker vandalism/spousal battery
Reggie McNeal resisting arrest/drug possession
Eric Steinbach - boating under the influence
Odell Thurman - drunk driving
deltha o'neal - dwi
matthias askew - disorderly conduct/resisting arrest
quincy wilson - disorderly conduct
cedric benson
chad johnson
tank johnson
pacman jones

Whats their to complain about right now? They played most of season without him last year so I really am not worried about it and I doubt other fans are as well.
The big difference between this and Benny is; that starting QB's are harder to replace unlike D-Line men were they are already rotating in and out.

Why would I as a Bengal fan come on here and complain about the suspension if Odom admitted to taking something.  If the appeal goes thru and he does not have to sit out the 4 games great.  At least he came out and admitted to it and didn't act like the other athletes that have done something wrong and make excuses.  Fat Ben put himself in this position and can only blame himself.  He needs to grow up and act like the leader of a football team that needs him on offense.  Good luck with Dixon for the next 4 games.

He confirms a positive test and then calls it a vicious rumor?  Huh?
Or, are the rumors that they might be PEDs specifically and he's taking pride in the fact that it's something else?  Wha?

You would never cheat?  You didn't cheat?!  Yes you did.  You cheated the league, the team, the fans, your peers, your family, your family name and mostly yourself.  That's not a rumor either.

I'm going to go with.....no comment due to the fact he failed the test so it's just. Sarcasm was funny though I highly enjoyed it.

Ok, so where are all of the Bengals fans screaming about the unjust supension - you know, the ones who lamblasted the Steeler fans for complaining that Ben's suspension was too long for being ACCUSED of something that went against the league's conduct policy.  Come on out all of you hypocrits.

Odom says positive test 'wasn't steroids or PEDs'

His tweet is hilarious.  He says "I all of you" he left it blank pretty much.  So when his friends and "fans" turn on him, he can fill in "I hate all of you".  If they don't turn on him, doubtful, he'll say "I love all of you".

When everyone turns on him he'll be like "Oh ya I totally forgot to put hate in there I always hated you guys bahahaha"...

Likely a 3-4 game suspension.  The NFL really doesnt care but they want to look decent and give a little slap on the hand.
