A few interesting comments from Jim Kelly about a variety of subjects when Will Brinson caught up with him for a podcast. Here’s a small appetizer of what the two talked about.
On the Bills quarterback situation:
“We shall see. This is a totally new system for Trent (Edwards). Last year, he had a whole new system. They fired the offensive coordinator the week before the opener. The cards were stacked against him from start to finish. You can’t be a good quarterback - I don’t care who you are - you can’t be when you have that many offensive linemen hurt. … I have all the faith in the world in him.”
On Bills expanding into Toronto:
“I don’t think it went as well as they thought it would. But they’ve gotten a lot more fans in the Toronto area. From a marketing standpoint, it was a good thing to do. We’ve got a lot more people coming across the border now to watch Bills games.”
On Jets setting themselves up too much to succeed:
“I’m not a big Jets fans. Never really have been. Understandably so when you’re a Buffalo Bill. … I hope the Jets keep talking their crap and hopefully when the time comes, we’ll be able to put it to them.”
That, plus much, much more with Bills QB legend.
