Percy Harvin returned to the Minnesota practice field Friday after missing the previous two days of workouts, and though the St. Paul Pioneer Press wrote that his actions were limited, Harvin has said he’d be ready to play Sunday vs. Miami.
Which must give Minnesota a huge sense of relief, though Harvin actually is listed as questionable on the official injury report.
Not that Harvin contributed much in the season opener against the Saints, because he didn’t, making only one reception. But with Sidney Rice out for at least the first six weeks of the season – and with WR Bernard Berrian all but invisible vs. New Orleans – the Vikings receiving corps needs all the help it can get.
Which really surprised me. I thought, even without Rice, Minnesota would be OK in the passing game. Last week, the Vikings were not.
For the record, the Dolphins only allowed 139 passing yards in their win last week against Buffalo.
