Moss in a heated exchange Monday

After Randy Moss caught exactly zero passes last Monday– and was targeted just once by Patriots QB Tom Brady – he told the Boston Herald it was part of the game plan.

At the time, that statement didn’t make much sense. And maybe now we can understand that Moss was either a) being sarcastic or b) being diplomatic.

As ESPN.com’s Mike Reiss reports, Moss and Patriots QB coach Bill O’Brien, the team’s playcaller, had a heated confrontation at halftime of New England’s win against Miami on Monday. The outburst might have been one reason Moss was traded only two days later.

Maybe it was part of the game plan, after all. A game plan of which Moss strongly disagreed.

They won 3 Superbowls without Moss.  Moss is an uppity a-hole, when he's getting the ball and catching TD passes he's fine, but when he gets shut down like he did against Miami, he's a freakin crybaby.  He was a cancer on the team, I say thanks to Coach Belichick, this is why he's the greatest coach in NFL history.

Moss in a heated exchange Monday

When I found out the patriots traded Randy Moss I didn't know what to think /// I was stunned /// after thinking about it I am keeping it as simple as possibe /// I convinced myself that any successful buisness has to take a step back before they can take 2 steps forward/// There's not anything I can say right now that has not  already been said both positive and negative /// The Vikings play the jets on Mondays night football/// what else can i say but  "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLE'S"Surprised

Not sure I buy this as the reason he was traded. After Moss shot off his mouth after Game-1 against Cinn especially after a  convincing win that was the beginning of the end for this guy. The timing of this trade is no coincidence. The Pats are on a bye week whereby they can continue to blend in their young talented receivers such as Tate and Price. I saw Tate play in an exibition game against the Giants. It appeared that every time he touched the ball he could go the distance. Lets not forget if this guy did not get hurt his senior yr he is a first round pick. The Pats struck gold. Lets not forget Hernandez, Price, Edelman and Gronowski. This team is geting very scary especially if their defense continues to improve.

Also, with a win against Miami (a division opponent) as well as being 3-1 it gives Bill a breather with repective to questions as to why he traded this guy
