Just when you thought it wasn’t possible for more drama to sweep through Minnesota, Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings have waived Randy Moss.

The move comes just one day after Moss made headlines with his second “me myself and I” postgame press conference rant of the season. In that press conference, Moss was critical of the Vikings coaching staff, and he made it very clear that he wished he were still with the Patriots.

Moss had just one catch for eight yards against the Patriots Sunday. However, he drew constant underneath double coverage from linebackers, which is a big reason Percy Harvin was open so often over the middle. In short, Moss’ presence on the field had been making the Vikings better offensively. Of course, this isn’t to say that Moss’ poor route running and effort issues weren’t still problems at times.

That said, it appears the Vikings coaching staff simply did not want to deal with the veteran receiver’s distracting attitude. According to Lombardi, Brad Childress told the team in a meeting that Moss had been waived. Moss did not even go back with the team to Minnesota. Pro Football Talk reports that Moss himself was not aware of his release prior to it becoming public knowledge.

The question now, of course, is, Where will Moss end up?

Favre and Childress should be waivered. Moss is all heart and emotional, not a headcase! There's a difference!

I wonder how he would fit into the San Diego Chargers offense. I think something is missing there, can he co-exist with Phillip Rivers? I am sure it won't be long before he is picked up by somebody. Cincinnati Bengals always needs someone else that can run their mouth. Sealed

Here's some guys who can easily be described as Team Cancer;  Moss,  Owens (NFL),  Iverson, Arenas (NBA), Sean Avery(NHL).   Pro sports aren't better with them in it, quite the opposite.  I wouldn't mind guys like this disappearing into the woodwork, so they can get real jobs.  I have never been interested in a diva celebrating their success.  Let's hope he doesn't get picked up and goes to the CFL like Ricky Williams.  If that can't teach him something, nothing will!

Please let him end up on the Bears. Cutler and Moss would be the poutiest (if thats even a word) duo in league history.

Randy Moss is a lazy WR, everybody knows it. Ask any DB in the League, he plays when he wants too. If he gave it all he would be close to breaking Jerry Rice records (thought to be unheard of). Talent is wasted on this guy. You can see all the skills but he disappears all the time. He should be blackballed like MLB did to Canseco (by the way, all he did was tell the truth and the fans hate him).
