The Raiders second straight blowout win was not without collateral damage Sunday. A league source told Pro Football Talk that an MRI reveals that superstar cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha – who played at a genuine A+ level against Seattle – suffered a high ankle sprain in the win.

Asomugha could barely put any pressure on his ankle while leaving the field. High ankle sprains generally sideline a player 4-6 weeks, though Asomugha is seeking a second opinion. He’s virtually a guaranteed “out” for this Sunday against the Chiefs. After that, the Raiders have a bye.

The Raiders will turn to Chris Johnson, an underrated/overrated cover corner, depending on the week, and Stanford Routt while Asomugha is out. The trick will be filling the nickelback role. Fifth-round rookie Walter McFadden is next on the depth chart, though coaches may want to consider sliding safety Michael Huff over to the slot.

Just prrof that you have Raider-envy.  The true Run DMC is McFadden.  You even try to steal our nicknames.  Let me guess, your mottos is Committment to Excellence and Just Win Baby???

The best corner on the field for this one will be Brandon Flowers. This is by far the Game of the Week so c'mon media and give the Chiefs and Raiders their deserved attention. These games are always close and exciting!

I do agree that this should be a pretty close one.  Total YPG and PPG on both sides of the ball are similar.  Oakland is the better scoring team (by 3+), and Kansas City is the better defender (by 3+).

Against similar opponents, the Raiders are 1-2 and the Chiefs are 2-1.  The only clear advantage for either team is Jamaal Charles.  But the game is in Oakland.

It's Raider week, and nice for it to mean something!  Hope the silver and black do their usual fall-on-the-sword technique.

I think Raiders and Chiefs split this year. Home team wins each. So it looks like Raiders will be division leaders come the bye week. :)

I'm disappointed.  I am confident my Chiefs can beat the Raiders, Asomugha or no Asomugha.  I am sick of the asterisks placed on the Chiefs' wins.

But inasmuch as we are missing McCluster, this will even things out some.  Due to our team strengths, Kansas City is hurt more with the loss of Run DMC, than Oakland is with the loss of Asomugha.

well actually this is a close one, KC has right now the no1 rushing offense, The raiders have the no.2 but have a better passing offense so thus taking some yards that could easily go to the running game. KC is a run first team, the raiders have a more balanced offense.

Really a Faider fan saying we cry about stuff?  Please it's always the league doesn't like us bwah bwah bwah the league is out to get us ask anyone outside the California State Penn errr I mean Alameda county.  Everyone in the NFL knows that Faiders fans cry more than anyone.  I hear it all the time.  If you wanna call luck my Chiefs winning 7 in a row at your place and 13 out of the last 16 then fine.  We will see on Sunday.
