Report: Moss would sit out if unhappy with team

Here's an interesting wrinkle to the Randy Moss story, as the NFL waiver deadline (4 PM EST) approaches: he would reportedly sit out the entire season if he doesn't like the team that claims him.

That's according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, who cites a source close to Moss saying he is "willing to sit out the season" if he's not enthralled with the team that claims him, because "he wants a ring."

This news is pretty outrageous but shouldn't be that surprising, considering that we're talking about Randy Moss here -- it's also understood that if a team like Buffalo or Carolina that's already out of contention for the playoffs picked him up, they'd be taking on a multi-million dollar headache for the remainder of the season.

In fact, this news is probably something that Moss wants everyone to know: in a year of extreme parity, there are plenty of teams that are in contention for a division title, but probably not in contention for a Super Bowl victory. That's not to take away from the Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams (two teams that have been prominently mentioned as possibilities for Moss) of the world, but it looks like a team needs to believe that Moss is the final piece of the puzzle to put them over the top for contention.

To sum up: you've been warned, middling NFL teams that need wide receiver help. Just in case you didn't know that already.

UFL - Sick Comp.

The UFL is all stacked out with Dante Culpepper, Jeff Garcia, Robert Ferguson, Ahman Green, and DeDey Dorsey to name a few. It's all power blasted out. At least it's not the XFL and they hired some coaches with half a noodle (Fassel, Cotrell, Denny Green).

It's good there, no?

This is all part of the plan. Moss will slip thru waivers unclaimed. He will re-sign with the patriots. The patriots save $3m add 3rd rd pick.
(hillarious) --- mark it down.

Just a plain idiot

I hope all 32 teams pass up on him, but I can see him going back to New England for the league minimum
