It doesn't necessarily excuse Channing Crowder for losing his mind after Sunday's game at Baltimore, but for what it's worth, it appears the Dolphins linebacker wasn't lying when he said Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain spit in his face. Take a look at this (and thank you to Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald for passing this along):

It will be interesting to see how the NFL disciplines McClain for this.

I honestly cannot see the spit in this video. I see the head jerk, but that doesn't mean anything, and I have a hard time believing that the ref, standing right there, would miss it.

People calling for suspension, that's absolutely ridiculous. If the NFL rules that a violation ocurred, a fine of about $7500 would be reasonable, but considering that they aren't suspending players for intentional helmet-to-helmet hits, a suspension for this would be ludicrous.

He needs to shave that homeless hobo beard and maybe the spit won't get stuck up there. Geez.

The guy deserves it for how much **** he talks, but man come on McClain.  Why would you spit on anyone at the risk of being suspended and hurting your team.

I guess Channing isn't crazy after all, and McClain is a little liar.

"McClain rebuffed Crowder's claims.

"We got into a little head-butt competition, but no spit, man," McClain said. "Probably me talking, I don't know. But all the spitting and all that ain't my game. I play ball.

"I guess he's a little frustrated. That's all that is.""

I'm sure you would lose your mind if someone spit on you. That is a terrible thing to do to someone. McClain should get a game suspension
