It doesn't necessarily excuse Channing Crowder for losing his mind after Sunday's game at Baltimore, but for what it's worth, it appears the Dolphins linebacker wasn't lying when he said Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain spit in his face. Take a look at this (and thank you to Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald for passing this along):

It will be interesting to see how the NFL disciplines McClain for this.

"I talked to Le'Ron," Harbaugh said. "I've seen the videotape of it. It didn't happen. I don't believe for one second it happened."

"That's the first I heard that. I don't believe it for one second," according to the Sun. "Frank Walker wouldn't do it, none of our players would do it. I don't believe it for one second."

"He said stuff to me I didn't want to hear. I said stuff he didn't want to hear," McClain said. "Spit came out of my mouth when I said something to the dude, and that was it. It wasn't on purpose. I'm not that kind of player."

Walker says it was just a "slobber moment" and a total accident

Talk about deja vu. Same defense from the coach, same excuse from the players.<!-- begin sponsored links -->

What a nasty piece of crap.  Suspend this punk Bama thug for the rest of the season and fine him his entire annual paycheck.  There is no place for spitting.  What a coward.  Lets just say he won't be winning any citizenship awards anytime soon.

Typical Bama boy.  No one that comes out of that "college" has any concept of class or accountability.  I wonder if Joe Namath wantsto kiss him.

Of course, what the video does show is Channing Crowder slapping, yes slapping, the referee in the face.  Now there's a fine!  Intentional or not.  He tried to slap someone and he did.

What?  The video is of good quality.  If it was as clear as everyone says, the league would have fined him already.  The guy right there, the ref, didn't see it and now you're saying you can clearly see it?  You may want to see it.  But it's not there!

And another thing!  How can these supposed journalists say he spit in his face?  I don't see it, no one did.  Where's the evidence?  Where's the evidence?  He prolly called him a p@ssy!  Have any of these people ever watched a football game before?  That type of head butting happens all of the time!

Seriously!?!?!  What are you people looking at?  Show me how that head but was any different than any other when players are jawing at each other.  If he spit, he literally would have gotten some on the referee who was right there!  I mean watch the video!  The ref is right there looking right in both of their faces!  I keep getting exciting when I see these articles that say here's the evidence.  Then, they show nothing.  All I see is a head but that happens every time players get in each other's face.   The official was right there and did not see it!  The video shows nothing.  The only evidence is Channing Crowder's word!  Are we seriously taking this guys word.  Please!  Please!  Please!  I want to see him spit in his face!
