Chad Ochocinco engaged after 10-carat proposal

Chad Ochocinco proposed to his reality TV "star" girlfriend of four months (no, not Ruby from Ultimate Catch, thanks for asking) on Tuesday.

Er, reportedly proposed. Also reportedly: he used a 10-carat ring to make sure and convince Evelyn Lozada that she loved him. According to TMZ, it worked.

Okay, so that's a large ring, and considering that Ocho is my girlfriend's favorite NFL player (THANKS FOR NOTHING, VHI), this subject matter just got me in trouble (yes, it involves my fear of commitment and inability to purchase a 10-carat ring).

It seems a safe bet to be true, though, because, as Chris Chase pointed out at Shutdown Corner, "First Lady Eve" tweeted that, "I'm no rabbit but 10 carats looks good on me!! Let the hating begin ▸▸▸▸▸▸▸ Let's go!!!!! *Wink*"

The picture of the ring you see above accompanied the tweet.

And not to ruin the happily-ever-after ending we got going here, but considering that Lozada was once engaged to Antoine Walker, perhaps Ochocinco should be wary of his career path.

olyinwis, the only time a care to post is when stupidity strikes, and that is a lot these days. Reactionary, predictory, sensationalist, demigogue status, petty crime, and moral exploitation bullshit writing has infiltrated every facet of journalism. It seems as if TMZ, Us, and People magazine editors and executives have taken over the world of journalism and media and are being fed every minute of the day by Twitter updates and Facebook status's. I for one can't stand it. And when I see my only subscription magazine and respected institution like Time magazine reach out for money with the LeBron James nominee for person of the year, my sports website I use for information (basically out of habit due to years of Fantasy Football play) overrun with idiot coverage, I will spit a bit of venom at it's lack of substance and enabling of stupidity. I wish I were posting about a sporting event than Bret Favre's tweeter, Chad Johnson's reality show girlfriend, Tom Brady's hair comparison to Justin Beiber, or the hat Clinton Portis wore to a press conference. I know this is the "Facts and Rumors" area, but the amount of info spit out in ratio for real info and this bullshit is about 1:10.

Pimpslapped.   I've read a few of your posts.  When I first noticed your intelligence and wit I gave you 5 stars.  The more posts that I see you make I realize that you are a very angry person.  Next time post about something that you DO like.

I think Ocho Cinco is a fabulous player, engaging persn and genuine "good" guy. However why am I getting the feeling that he is going to be broke very shortly after his playing days are over. Enjoy the ride Ocho, get some good investment advice and stop pising away money on stupid fines.

Otherwise he is a great player.

This is what you fucking geeks get paid to write about? Well, I don't know about paid if you can't make it out of your parents basements. I'm guessing a typical Friday night consists of kicking back after a long day or "rumor blogging" (I felt my sack shrink just typing that sentence), watching Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or the Matrix (whatever is up in your rotation), and then burning the midnight oil to the warm glow of the computer screen in marathon beat off session to hardcore Hentai porn. You are part of the Worst Generation (see Greatest Generation on Wikipedia or Google for antonym reference).
