For only the fourth time this season, Seahawks LT Russell Okung is expected to start this Sunday vs. the Saints.
Okung, taken sixth overall in this year’s NFL Draft, missed the first three games of the season after suffering a high ankle sprain. He played three games, but he hasn’t played since spraining his other ankle Oct. 24.
"Russell practiced very well today, went with the first group the whole time and he's prepared to start," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters, via the Seattle Times, before the team traveled to New Orleans. "That's a real good sign for us. We like that. We'll see how he looks tomorrow after coming off this practice, but he's got a real good chance to be starting for us. That's a big deal for us."
