Despite spending part of the week in a walking boot, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will play Sunday night against the Ravens. Roethlisberger’s injured foot only cost him a small snippet of practice time.

“I fight through a lot of things,” he told the Beaver County Times’ Mike Bires. “I’ll find a way to make it happen. There’s no doubt in my mind.”

Safety Troy Polamalu has missed practice this week with an Achilles strain. That was the case last week, as well. Then Polamalu went out and had arguably his best game of the season against the Bills. Expect the superstar safety to be full go Sunday night.

Roethlisberger will play Sunday night

I think these arguments are cute, and I'm sure all the passionate fans of the losing team this week will report to the blogs and comment areas Monday morning to apologize and admit the better team won.  I can't imagine seeing such longtime dedicated fans of either team complaining about bad calls, injuries, bad weather, players pets dying before kickoff, etc. after their team suffers a heartbreaking loss. And I highly doubt anyone will mention a bunch of meaningless statistics and records from the past 50 years to find comfort in losing, in the real world, the present.

I have no loyalty to either side, but most of these arguments are pretty weak and Im curious as to why only about 3% of these posts actually states a real explanation as to why one team is better than the other this season, or why a team is "going to crush!!!" or "win by 62 pts, easy!" ?

I know it's always tempting to fallback on the good ole',  "We won 7 championships, 27yrs ago, and I've been a super duper fan the entire time!" but........ can we all come together and make a rule that you get a maximum of 1 year to brag about winning a championship, then you have to move on with life if your team fails to repeat and there is a new champion? And for fans that really just have a difficult time letting go of the past, can you at least not include titles won before you could talk, maybe we'll set a cutoff around ages 6 and up?

You don't have to agree with me, it's just my opinion on how we can make Earth a better place. But if you disagree I have to a sk the same question I asked a fan of a "rival" down at Citizen's this summer who felt the need to explain to me how great the rival "used to be" and how much the Phillies "used to" suck....  "So you're saying whenever a person or a team succeeds it counts forever and can always be used to their advantage, and can outweigh current events or success for all of enternity? That's great news, because I've had a rough year at work, I've really underperformed, and I was stressed about my annual evaluation, but now I realize I can just point out how I was the best employee in 2006 and 2007, that should clear it up."

Enjoy the game and I'll check back in Monday morning for some intellectual football discussions about both teams (present tense)

Prediction:  Tie. Steelers 6, Ravens 6

Get back to me next year after you figure that one out.

Big Steeler fan huh. Post much Mr. big fan? Never mind..I'll answer it for ya.....No. So what you're saying is you'll post against about your favorite team Mr. big time fan in a year or so?

Do you even know the definition of the word "bandwagon".

Yeah..It has your picture under it.

Geez, you gotta be either from Glen Burnie, Dundalk, or Pasadena.

Figure that out all by your lonesome or did you do what intelligent people do and check my profile?

Also it's pretty funny that Terrell Suggs was taking up for Harrison the other day.

Funny? Hillarious, Suggs and Harrison have something in common....Neither know when to keep their pie holes shut.

coterie..yeah, I'm a big Ravens fan.
obsequious..
I stand behind everything and can prove it. Example......your a troll and don't know much about football, hense your lack of posting. Much too intelligent posters for you to have to follow.
pedantic...yep, it's called reading comprehension.
sycophants....all my accusations about you are true..100%.

Now get back to bagging groceries at the Safeway, you're giving true Steeler fans a bad name.

Hey Taylor2448......What makes you think that Arnold is so much better than any other city in Maryland? Trust me, I have been to Arnold, and there are areas there that I wouldn't let my DOG live in. You probably live off of College Parkway...Whoopie!!!!! Nice area if your a crack head... I have NO respect for Steeler fans in Maryland, unless they are actually from Pittburgh.... And even then, it is slight.

Ravenmaniac..go read my post again moron. I said "epicenter of EXCUSES for losing". Been a Steelers fan since 1975. Do you even know the definition of the word "bandwagon". Geez, you gotta be either from Glen Burnie, Dundalk, or Pasadena.
Take a stroll over to the Ravens site on a weekly basis and read all of the conspiracy theories about the latest screw job against poor widdle Bawldymore. Also it's pretty funny that Terrell Suggs was taking up for Harrison the other day. That's one of your purple guys' star players, no?
You sir, are part of a coterie of obsequious, pedantic sycophants----with a marked proclivity towards procrastination and sloth.

Get back to me next year after you figure that one out.
