Sterger's people voice new complaints

Jenn Sterger’s manager says the NFL is not returning his calls. (Maybe now Sterger knows how it feels.) Since Sports Illustrated’s Peter King reported Monday that Favre would be exonerated in the sexting scandal, Sterger’s people have been leaving messages with the league.

So can we assume Favre is off the hook? “It would be absolutely heartbreaking if this is the case,” Sterger’s manager, Phil Reese, told the Sports Business Journal. “The NFL has assured us the whole time that Commissioner Goodell was committed to holding players accountable for their actions and would take a stand against sexual harassment in the workplace.”

According to Sterger’s camp, league officials had been in touch on an almost daily basis prior to this week. The Sports Business Journal asked the NFL about the alleged snubs. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said, “It is (a) complex situation that has involved a great deal of due diligence. We are trying to wrap it up as soon as possible and will notify everyone appropriately when a conclusion is reached.”

It seems likely that this case will soon evaporate. Favre only has four games left in his career, and the NFL, you have to assume, would rather people be talking about the playoff race at this point.

PAThfinder,

Leave it to a guy with a nic of "pimpslapped1" and a picture of a dude slapping a chick to fall in line with the "she got what she wanted" routine. Dude, you're such a douche.

Let me get this straight, any girl that files any complaint against any professional athlete is filing for a settlement, right? I bet you were the first guy to jump up and say "Rothlisberger's innocent until proven guilty", right?

No dickhole, quite the opposite. I thought and still do think Ben is as guilty as OJ. A, how an avatar is a representation of someones social views between the sexes is a thought only a weaseldick cuntbag like yourself would assume. B, the writing is on the wall when you withhold evidence for 2 years, do not go directly to a lawyer or someone in a position to file a complaint, criminal, or civil suit, and leak it to a media source instead. As opposed to Rapelisbergers case where that was done, both times. C, this was handled between a lawyer and NFL officials, not law enforcement or a judicial department. So this jackhole lawyer who is claiming sexual harassment is purposely going to a source that has no authority other than financial burden to Favre in an attempt for settelment. If he thought he had a real case for sexual harassment, he would file a suit. I guess the NFL, who aggressively pursued this at first and is now ignoring the d-bag lawyer has that "1950 mentality" as well huh? Because that is what they want. They want to alienate the fastest growing setor of their fan base, women right? Use that feeble organ between your ears next time before you try to imitate a thought next time. Also, take of that Lileth Fair T-shirt you pussy.

If I murder someone and a jury finds me not guilty that does not mean I am innocent.  If I rape someone and hide my tracks well enough that there is not enough evidence to convict me that does not mean I am innocent.  If I commit a sexual assault and because I am famous enough that the justice system looks the other way that does not mean I am innocent.  If I send picture of my tallywacker (that post made me LOL) to some hot chick like Jen Sterger I'm telling all my friends about it.  No wait, that wasn't where I was going with this.  Anyway, the point is that there are a lot of people guilty of serious crimes who were not found guilty of their crimes for one reason or another, they certainly are not innocent.  Truthfully, a persons guilt or innocence is determined by one thing one thing only, did he commit the crime.  Unfortunately that truth does not always come out.
While most people will say "he is innocent until proven guilty" most of the comments by justice system officials (judges, lawyers etc)  I see regarding our justice system say "he is presumed innocent until proven guilty."  and you don't see verdicts read as "He was found innocent"  but most often "he was found not guilty"  You may call it splitting hairs and granted it is a small difference but there is a difference.
But to convict someone as guilty based purely on testimony from the victim herself is just ignorant. If he didn't commit the crime I agree wholeheartedly.   If he did commit the crime he should be convicted regardless of how it is done.  If it is based purely on the testimony of the victim so what.  That is why we have investigations, to determine the validity of the victims testimony.   But, even if the investigation does not turn up enough evidence to convict, or even charge the guy that still does not mean he is innocent.

Locosmonos - agreed, totallyl. On the flip side of that same coin, you can't say the girl's looking for something financial until it's proven she's a liar.
Then, by all means, trash her on your message board of choice. Until then though, it's BS to throw accusations her way.

Roethlisberger is innocent until proven guilty. Same with Favre. That is what is great about living in a country with such a great judicial system. Accusation =/= Conviction. Now if Roethlisberger, and for that matter Favre did do what they are being accused of, then they do deserve whatever punishment is given to them. But to convict someone as guilty based purely on testimony from the victim herself is just ignorant.

I bet you were the first guy to jump up and say "Rothlisberger's innocent until proven guilty", right? Well how about this chick? Where's your evidence that she was having sex with Favre? Where's your evidence that it was consensual? I haven't heard about any texts coming out of her phone. Phone records are pretty easy to get, actually. I'm pretty sure that if she ever texted the dude back, Favre's camp would be quick to point out the two way communication. Then you'd have some sort of validity to your point. Instead, all you've got is a 1950's "you got you what you were asking for, lady" mentality.

They don't come much dumber than you, do they?

As in "Porkys" lets not refer it as a "penis", instead we`ll use the word..."tallywacker"

The NFL probably sees it for what it is, an attempt for a settlement, and are ignoring it after getting all the facts. Those facts probably include the true nature of the relationship between Favre and Sterger. And in that context, it is not sexual harassment if it is consensual or there is evidence of a sexual relationship. If there is evidence of harassment, then her lawyer should feel free to file a civil suit and not rely on the NFL to be the enforcer.

The only way the NFL can prove tha Farve did it is for Farve to admit he did it (which he won't) or to take him into a private room and compare his penis with the one in the photo (which is illegal unless it's done by law enforcement with a search warrant cause I know Farve would not consent to that).  If I was the NFL, I would probably do the same thing.. forget it and hope that Farve retires and never come back.
