Ndamukong Suh's hit on Jay Cutler Sunday generated a lot of controversy, as some folks (Jerry Angelo, Bears fans) believed he wasn't punished enough, while others (Jim Schwartz, Lions fans) thought the 15-yard flag thrown for the hit was excessive.

Opinions are also pretty varying on the $15,000 the NFL fined him on Wednesday.

"I'm not surprised by that one," Cutler said Wednesday.

Suh's agent, on the other hand, called the fine "ridiculous" and stated that his client plans to appeal.

It's not usual that the league will reverse a fine like this, but in Suh's case he might have a chance, considering that replays showed he pushed Cutler in the back, and not in the head, the play for which he was flagged by Ed Hochuli.

I understand not leading with your helmet, but now you cannot push someone in the back either?  Sheesh - I see harder hits than that in flag football...
