Jeff Zulgad of the Star Tribune reports that Brett Favre will NOT start Monday night in Minnesota’s frigid game against the Bears. Will Carroll, aka The Injury Expert, reports that if Favre does not start, the Vikings will place him on Injured Reserve. A decision is expected to come sometime Saturday.

As you can deduce, it’s likely that Favre has already taken his final NFL snap.

With the veteran out, and Tarvaris Jackson already on IR (turf toe), the Vikings are relying on rookie Joe Webb. Journeyman Patrick Ramsey was signed as a backup for the final two weeks.
