Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is the latest player to rip the field conditions at TCF Bank Stadium. And, of all the players to speak out, Kluwe by far takes the cake for most eloquent and critical.

One comment he made Sunday was that perhaps a snowfall could help soften the playing surface. He was being facetious, but nevertheless, the theory will likely be tested.

The Pioneer Press is reporting that three to five inches of snow could be dumped on TCF Bank Stadium Monday night. From KARE11:

Expect around 2 to 3 inches on the ground by the start of the game. Snowfall rates will be around .5 inch per hour. So look for an additional 1 to 2 inches during the game.

When is the open-air stadium in MN suppose to open?  Next year?  BRRR  It's cold enough here in KY, but couldn't imagine playing in the elements again in Minneapolis!  Those were some great games back in the day though.

MIN Players would dread playing there as well...no players will want to sign with MIN because no sport is intended for that type of weather. The player career expectancey would be back to 3 yrs. Why do you think they built the dome to begin with.
