Although Jets QB Mark Sanchez underwent a precautionary MRI today, coach Rex Ryan said that it won’t affect his starting status for next Sunday’s game vs. the Bears.

According to the Newark Star Ledger, Sanchez hurt his arm on the second offensive drive of Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh, but he still managed to complete 19 of 29 passes for 170 yards and a rushing touchdown in New York’s victory.

"Any time it's your quarterback, you're going to make sure he’s OK," said Ryan, who also mentioned that Sanchez might be limited at practice this week. "The MRI showed it was a positive thing for us. He’ll be ready to play on Sunday. Will it limit him? I don’t know."
