Jenn Sterger's meeting with Goodell 'heated'?

Jenn Sterger met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell last week to wrap up the league’s two-month investigation into the Brett Favre sexting allegations. Goodell and Sterger met in Manhattan for roughly two hours. According to Pro Football Talk, the meeting became “heated” at times.

Mike Florio of PFT writes, “It’s not surprising that it became heated, given the perception by Sterger’s representatives that no action will be taken against Favre.  Sterger’s manager, Phil Reese, and her lawyer, Joe Conway, believe that Sterger’s name can be cleared only with a finding that Favre in some way violated the league’s Personal Conduct Policy via his interactions with Sterger.”

Goodell also met with Favre after the Vikings’ Monday night game against the Bears.

“You know, I saw him briefly for I would say five or 10 minutes,” Favre said in a press conference afterwards. “It was a very brief conversation, so I wouldn’t think — I wouldn’t call that an investigation or anything.”

The NFL is expected to make a ruling on Favre this week.

The law also states that their has to be a warning issued first.  If you continue to pursue then action would be taken.  Just keep in mind how ridiculous some Sexual harrasment laws are.  I'm not saying what Favre did is right by any means. Also, since this happened over 2 years ago it looks like sour grapes.  I would be willing to bet that Sterger wanted money to keep it quiet, Favre declined and you have what we have here.  I hope this story soon dies and Sterger stops seeking attention and that Favre actually finally retires.

Did she send him and pictures? Was it consensual? If so, it really does not matter what he sent her. I doubt she had any issues at the time and it would not surprise me if she asked him to send her pictures for future use. future use as in a lawsuit or some sort of attempt to gain attention.

"...she has said that if the NFL disciplines Favre then she will not file any lawsuit against him."

Does this statement make her a better person? Has she indicated what she'll do if he's out of football by the time the league imposes any discipline?

I'm not buying the "will not file any law suit" bull****. She's gonna sue, her lawyers just want an acknowledgment of wrongdoing by the league so they can get more than just her pain and suffering money. There's harrassment, defamation of character, etc. to be dragged through the mud here. This is a tactic to prepare multiple lawsuits: both Favre, the Jets and the NFL will be facing the legal music. Hence, the reason the league is dragging its feet.  Her next set of boobs will be made of gold.

Okay, so how did he just get her phone number? Of course someone else could have provided him with it, but she should have stopped engaging in any and all contact right then and there. I am pretty sure that the very first text she got from him wasn't just his unit and how did she know if it was from him unless she knew the number or saved it. What was she saving his number for if it wasn't for their "friendly" conversations. She welcomed this behavior and I can pretty much surmise that if all texts and calls were traced from these two, then it would have a pretty extensive history. When any of us are/were single and wanted to hook up with some cheap women on a one night stand, I am sure the very first or second text was not a picture of your unit. The point is that she and he were definitely cozy.

Personally, I hate these types of women that are average to above average in looks due to alterations as they are not all natural. They think they feel entitled to a lavish lifestyle riding the coat tails of men because they have NO TALENT!  I mean she is exactly like Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian in that they get notoriety for doing porn and then shun it. They ride their 15 minutes of fame into a multi-million dollar career, but all they did was suck some dude and they weren't even that good at it!

She is so offended by a guy's unit on her phone but kept it for 2 years and knows it's his HOW????  I'm sorry, every women other than maybe Mother Theresa has seen a dude's package at one time in their life. Yeah, honey looking at you and the way you portray yourself, that wasn't even the first package you saw that day and you might as well work for TSA the way you look like you handle packages! Come on man, she posed nude and exploits herself for freaking Playboy for money and some fame and this girl has no shame. She is not sweet and virginal by any means and is as pure as Lake Erie's water and she gives real victims such a bad name with this poor excuse for a lawsuit.

This girl's whole career is built on sex appeal and nothing more! What does she know about sports to get any sports job over any of us besides the fact that she is good looking. Uhhh...she was spotted at an FSU game and she posed in Playboy. Yeah, that is such a tremendous resume and criteria right there. Any of us could put her and that Ines Sainz to shame on sheer sports knowledge and mental acumen. We are more passionate about the NFL and students of the game. Hwowever, we don't have that DSL (D Sucking Lips) and are not decent looking chicks that these sports organizations feel will be easy on the eyes. Yeah, Ines is another one that is such a victim my @$$! She would pose in a heartbeat with that Playboy offer she received if her job did not prohibit it. No shame or amount of humiliation when it comes to getting paid! YTou are offended by comments or picture, but will expose yourself for the world to see with an open check.

Sorry, most women that are generally involved in the sports industry or date/marry athletes do it for the fame and lavish lifestyle and nothing else. Women that marry sports athletes and think these guys will stay faithful are just as idiotic as rock star wives. You know what you are getting yourself into ahead of time and you knowingly accept that and turn the other cheek to have that quality lifestyle. Look at Kobe's wife for example! That girl got humiliated BIG TIME on TV and she got a big apology diamond after the truth was open forum. There was no way in the world she was leaving that with no fallback plan! Look at beloved athletes like MJ, Clemens and Tiger...all notorious cheaters and most of these guys are as faithful as their options. Other than maybe Tiger's wife, most of these women show their true colors (GREEN) when it comes to finding out what kind of man they have.

Jenn Sterger's meeting with Goodell 'heated'?

You obviously ignore facts that are inconvieniant to you and think that insulting people for having an opposing viewpoint is the way to handle this- Look at the facts. Jenn Sterger held on to these messages for a couple of years until it was convieniant. I bet if you dug deeper you would find that she retained these messages through several phone changes as well, ensuring that she held onto her retirement ticket. This is a blackmail attempt by the Sterger camp to try and "strong-arm" the league into taking action that will benefit her. Her "Image" is just as she acts.. Hell on Madden 11 if your playing the jets there is a scantily clad woman in a Jets bikini top by the Santa. Oh, Sexual Harassment in New Jersey where the Jets play has a statute of limitation of 2 years. While it is bad to send out pictures of Little Brett... and i am not making excuses for the guy... takes a douche to pull this stuff on a wife who stuck with him and is a breast cancer survivor...  This woman saw the Kobe Bryant and Rothlesberger stuff going on and has the term "undisclosed settlement" floating around in her head- if this wasn't a for-profit type of venture it would have been more likely she silently reported Brett with the evidence and perhaps made a few media statements to ensure it was actioned upon.

Jenn Sterger's meeting with Goodell 'heated'?

Does anyone know if the cell phone Brett Favre texted messages and pictures to Jenn Sterger's was her personal property or property of the NY Jets?  If it was her personal cell phone, wouldn't that make a difference in the allegations of misconduct towards an employee? Just saying.

To the trailer-trash in here who claim "no rules were violated by Favre,"

Sexual harassment is not only against the rules, it is against the law.

Sterger was an employee of the Jets, same as Favre.

Some of you Tea Party trtailer-trash need to buy a vowel. The world has moved beyond the Confederate days of lore you still live in.

Jenn Sterger's meeting with Goodell 'heated'?

he didnt violate any rules though, thats what everyone seems to forget, her friends have gone on record saying she laughed when she got these texts from Favre, and she has recieved others from other players, but yet she did nothing about it. Her attorney has said on several occasions they were seeking any "remedy" to resolve this, insinuating a monitary settlement. Now her attorney realizes she wont get any money from Favre, and she's now on the "outs" in the business, the only way to clear her name (and allow her to get a job again) is to say Favre is wrong
