It has been a rough year for Dallas’ Roy Williams. The outspoken $20 million dollar receiver was, for the most part, effective when Tony Romo was in the lineup. But since former Lions teammate, Jon Kitna, stepped in, Williams has just 15 catcR. Williams (US Presswire)hes for 218 yards. In the last 10 games, he has registered more than two catches only once.

Because Jerry Jones gave up a king’s ransom to acquire Williams, Cowboy fans have had little patience for the 29-year-old. That’s why you can expect eyes to roll when they read his latest comments.

"I can only do what I can do," Williams said, according to Bill Nichols of the Dallas Morning News. Of his disappointing season, Williams said, "Started off nice and then fell off the face of the earth somehow.

"I want to be here (next year). If not, I will be somewhere else."

Williams then seemed to take a shot at Jason Garrett. "I was the go-to guy in Detroit,” he said. “Coordinators can make who they want to make the star.”

He added, "First four or five weeks I was getting the rock a little bit. All of a sudden it just stopped coming my way. Why? I don't know."
Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star Telegram says Williams is the Cowboy most likely to be cut this offseason.

Trade him to the G-men.  He can fumble or drop balls all day long; that's if Eli can get him the ball.

Jason Garrett

Is Not The Answer in Dallas , He was the Off. cordinator and Making HORRIBLE play calling while Phillips was the head coach earlier this year , That;s the only thing that has drascatily changed before phillips was fired the Cowgirls threw almost 80 percent of the time after hes gone they run 80 percent m something doesnt smell right there ............... but it really doent matter as no really good coach would accept the job and wnt Jerry Jones to be the GM  (as he is the main reason behind Dallas falling  down every year ) but then again owners have to pick good guys to run their franchises also , look at Snyder  , He finally steps aside and lets his football guys run the team and look what those Shanahan  Clowns have done to the skins

Roy Williams' awful Dallas tenure nearly over?

I love how an article about Roy Williams still gets nothing but comments about the real problem with Dallas, Jerry Jones as a GM. There could be an article about a player, a coach, the stadium, or a cheerleader's pompom accident and it wouldn't matter. Ever comment would say, " CRUCIFY JERRY."  Do any of you really think he will ever get the message? WE DON"T LIKE YOU AS THE GM JERRY!!! Not one single Cowboy's Fan does that I know. Who cares how many dropped passes Roy Williams had this year? He should have never been in Dallas in the first place Jerry. Just another one of your great GM moves from the last 15 years.

I have been a Cowboys fan for over 30 years and I never once wanted switch my loyalties until here recently. When Jerry Jones got rid of Tom Landry I didnt agree with it but I thought he brought in a great Head Coach that could control the players, but that Head Coach intimidated him so he had to let him go. Since Jimmy Johnson was Let go, Fired, or Quit he has had a bunch of puppets except Bill Parcells. When Parcells left, I beleive he JJ forced him because they was close to winning something big and Parcells would get all the credit and we all know Jerry doesnt want to give credit to nobody but himself. I wont say I will quit watching this team but I used to not ever miss a game, Sunday, Monday, or Thursday but after this year I will not make it a point to watch the Cowboys until Jerry steps out of the lime light and lets his Head Coach be the Head Coach and bring in a real GM that can evaluate players. If you look at the teams they have had with the Head Coaches, Jimmy Johnson brought in a bunch of good players and than nothing untill Parcells came in and more good players and he left than Jerry hires Wade Phillips but not Head Coaching material just another puppet. This team had all the makings of a another great team but Jerry Jones ruined it, and now it will be another few years of dissapointment in Big D.

Roy Williams wasn't close to being the biggest problem on this team.  The New Orleans' fumble was irrelevant as the season was already lost.  Williams could be a number one on half the teams in the NFL and he would be a strong two. Last year, Miles Austin became the one, and Romo still had Witten and Jones to throw to, making Williams a weak two. We've beent thru this before with an unhappy Alvin Harper.
That said, Roy has stuck his foot in his mouth more than once.  A little advice for wherever he ends up: shut up and play.
The problem with this team starts and ends with Jerry Jones, not the players.

Roy Williams' awful Dallas tenure nearly over?

There is a lot of bitter people here, i know he isnt that great of a reciever for you guys BUT he is NOT the reason your team is losing games. From the top down your team is full of great talented UNDERACHIEVING players. Too many games this year did i see players on both sides of the ball play listless uninspired football. This is the problem when you have an owner that only wants to make a splash or have the high profile signing just for the press and tv time. Williams will be cut... but until JJ can put a team that can play as a unit there will always be problems for big D.
