Ed Reed getting by with help of his teammates

You already know about Ed Reed’s family struggles lately and about how his brother, Brian Reed, jumped into the Mississippi River last week to avoid police and hasn’t been seen since. Yet, despite all that, Reed played well in Baltimore’s win against Kansas City.

Obviously, it hasn’t been easy for him. But he’s been helped by his blood family in Louisiana, with whom he visited the early part of this week, and his family in Baltimore – his teammates.

"This is, like I said, a child's game that we play," Reed said, via the Sports Xchange. "It's not tough to focus on this. Being around these guys helped me stay focused and going forward in life, knowing that God has got everything. I'm not worried, and I wasn't worried about football. That's the least of my worries."

Although he obviously was worried about his brother, who is still missing though police have called off their search, missing last week’s game vs. the Chiefs wasn’t an option. That's his job, Reed said, and he wasn't going to take the day off.

"We circled around him," Ravens DE Cory Redding said. "We consoled him and let him know that we were going to do everything we could. We had his back, and we let him know, 'When you hurt, we hurt.'"

$425 a week Moe, to stay home.

I get $425 a week Moe, to stay home, and be unemployed, while suckers like you sit like a hanj0b at a cube all day for 10 hours.

Figures you like the Lakers, they are all a bunch of rapists on that team.

Ssssssick in the Head !

Aight Parks, I must admit, this chat has been extremely fun, I have laughed continuously at your responses throughout, but I gotta run. In all honesty, you provided with me a lot of laughs today, so it was worth my time. Since all I have is sports forums to go to, I need to go watch a few Planet Earth CDs to get "caught up to speed", and see what is going on in the NBA nowadays. Stay in touch with yourself, Moe.

Youre sick in the head you loser. get off your computer and go get a life for yourself. Ed Reed's brother may be a savage in your eyes but that doesn't mean that Ed Reed is not affected by his family falling into trouble. I take it if your family messed up you'd be happy they were possibly dead? put yourself in his shoes. Altho you could never cause he's doing something with his life and the best thing you have going for you is your sports forums.

Giddyup!

I don't recall mentioning race in any of my posts, but since you are much more educated than me, I guess you already know that I am the same race as Ed Reed and his thug, primative brother. Again, race has nothing to do with my opinion, even though my opinion makes me worse than drug dealers and car stealers, accoridng to you. FYI.....if you are implying that I took race into the equation of my opinion, if you ask me, that makes you look like the Captain of the Uncle Toms. Does the white hood fit you good over there Parks and Recreation? Got the cross on your front yard all doused up in lighter fluid? Either way, orange, yellow, black, white, etc., Ed Reed's brother is a savage on Planet Earth, Volume 3, I'll send you the DVD.

I don't applaud Vick's beating of the dogs, but the electricuting of dogs had a nice touch to it. Hide your Beagle, Vick's an Eagle, Moe. Vick's gotta be from Philly, too, since ALL athletes play from the town which they grew up / live in. All of 'em do.

Ignorance...pure ignorance....

ps once again. they dont feel sorry for his brother. They feel sorry for Ed Reed you asshole. and most athletes arent even FROM the town they play for genius, so don't talk shit about things you clearly know nothing about
