Pats outed for using 'sideline wall' against Jets

The Jets were fined a large chunk of change ($100,000 to be exact) for "TripGate." The extent of the fine was based on Sal Alosi's physical actions on the sideline against the Dolphins and Mike Westhoff claiming the Patriots engaged in the same tactics.

Turns out, they (allegedly) do just that. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported Sunday that the Jets found out about the Pats illegal sideline antics and actually showed a videotape of a Pats sideline wall with the final member attempting to trip the Jets gunner.

Apparently, a former member of the Patriots practice squad told the Jets that New England practiced the sideline wall manuever, and it appears that the Jets pulled the footage from a game against New England.

Glazer pointed out that if the Jets had sent this footage to the league office, then it probably would have been the Patriots getting fined and not New York. He's probably correct, too, because a large portion of the league's fine of the Jets stemmed from Westhoff's public comments. If, instead of making public allegations about the Pats behavior was similar to Alosi's, the Jets had sent the tape to 280 Park Avenue in New York, there's a pretty good chance Bob Kraft would have been cutting a check too.

Pats fans were talking a whole lot of trash about Jets. What happened?? I thought Rex couldn't coach?? Sanchez sucked?? They are now 3-2 against your beloved Pats. LOL

The Pats didn't intentionally trip somebody.

Who cares about this story.  The BIG story is the Pats going down at home against the Jets.  Now Brady can go get his perm and tee up his golf shot.

Does it surprise anyone that the Patriots would also do this stuff! It's probably where the Jets learned it from!.. The Patriots are the dirtiest team in sports! Will the leauge punish them hard for this as they seem to be a habitual offender when it comes to breaking the rules? Oh, Kraft and Goodell are good friends, I forgot!.. remember the Spygate tapes that were "destroyed" by the Commissioner.. We'll NEVER know what the league seen on those tapes and if it helped the Patriots in their supposedly three "tainted" titlesl.. both teams should be fined!!..

There is a big diffrence from 3 players watching a game, then moving out of the way, then the JETS who lined up inactive players and physically HIT the gunner.

So the players and staff stand along the sidelines now?  Imagine that...  has to be a conspiracy...

How about worrying about what you do and simmer down. Lower your expectations of humanity and you'll be less dramatic. In the end, only a few will get past Peter at the gates. Just enjoy the game for what it is and hope....no pray you're one of the guys on the list. Save the crying for another time and quit being blameless.

As one cbs writer had said "cheating is OK as long as you win..." Whatever! But it is odd how the Patriots never get punished but others do. Apparently, it's not who started it, but who gets caught doing it afterwards.

yep. its like my little brother. anytime he did anything wrong, my parents would always say... "he got that from you" or "he wouldnt have been doing that if you hadn't taught him".

and then his punishment was no where near as sever as mine was when I had been caught doing something similar.

oh yes, my father and I lived on west 171st st. in manhattan for a few years... let me tell you he was still a Bears fan the entire time we liived in NYC.

have never like the jets. ever.

and now with big mouth as their leader, and all the me people flocking to be apart of that team... no thanks. Im actually watching this game wanting New England to win and that almost sickens me Yell but I cant tolerate someone who talks for the sake of hearing himself sound "like a manly man" oh boy. If Brady doesn't stuff that pigskin down Rex Ryans mouth, Im really gonna lash out on this darn website about my further disapointment in the New England Patriots!!!

Cry all you want about the Pats. Your raggly team choked in the playoffs again. I know it hurts. Peyton just chokes, that's all.

But seriously, if my Pats have been doing this, then I'm forced to label my own team as classeless.

Ever notice it's always the Jets who rat out New England ?? First Spygate, now this. And does anyone think that it is coincidence of the timing of this coming out. Just a few hours before the start of the Jets-Pats divisional playoff ??
