Ed Reed's brother has been missing for some time -- but it appears that the not-knowing stage of his suffering could be coming to an end. That's because Kenner police believe they've found the body of Brian Reed.

According to Lt. Wayne McInnis (via NOLA.com), authorities responded to the discovery of a body near Alliance Street about 4:00 PM.

The identity of the body has yet to be released, but authorities believe it's Reed's brother, and the location of where the body was found is near where Reed's brother jumped into the river after being chased by police.

There doesn't seem to be a happy ending to this scenario, but there appears that there's a chance for some closure.

Reed's brother's body found in Mississippi River?

Cafe  - Our fore fathers never should of aloud slaves into this country - we'd be so much better off.  I so wish you’re fore fathers weren’t so willing to sell you're ancestors.

Hell they are still doing it today.  Slave trade is alive and well.

Why don't you enjoy the freedom you never would of had if slavery never happened.

Go live in a stick hut somewhere; I’ll pay for your one way ticket.

Reed's brother's body found in Mississippi River?

WHAT A BUNCH OF GOOFBALLS POST HERE. I'M A WHITEY (OBVIOUSLY) AND AM SICK OF HEARING YOU GOOFBALLS DEFEND THIS MAN. IT IS BEST FOR ME TO DO WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS DONE AND DEFEND MY FAMILY FIRST. MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. MY WIFE IS STILL NAVY AND CAN'T WAIT TIL SHE GETS OUT BECAUSE I SEE IT HAS BECOME ANOTHER SOURCE OF WELFARE FOR MANY FAMILIES AND NOT FOR THOSE WHO TRULY WANT TO DEFEND OUR GREAT NATION.

IT IS AMAZING TO SEE THAT A MAN WHO CHOSE WHAT HE DID IS DEFENDED BY IDIOTS LIKE KIETH OLBERMANN.

PLEASE FIND ME IN THAT DARK ALLEY,  TALK IS CHEAP LOSERS

Reed's brother's body found in Mississippi River?

ron is a coward plain and simple. He lives to incite chaos into the lives of decent people of all races. Godspeed to Ed and his fallen brother.  No one will ever be able to find ron.  He will forever remain hiding in the darkness.  Cowering in fear and trembling in fear that light will be shone on his face.  Ban the punk soon.
