M. Pouncey (US Presswire)Posted by Andy Benoit

Devastating news for the Steelers: center Maurkice Pouncey is out for Super Bowl XLV. The rookie Pro Bowler suffered a high left ankle sprain when Jets linebacker Bryan Thomas inadvertently rolled up on his leg during the AFC Championship. As we wrote earlier on Wednesday, Pouncey is on crutches and in a hard cast.

Guard Chris Kemoeatu spilled the beans  about Pouncey’s status. “We are definitely sad that he won’t be able to be with us in the Super Bowl,” Kemoeatu told Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “Definitely I feel bad for him. We just have to win it for him.”

Doug Legursky, a third-year pro who was undrafted coming out of Marshall, will once again fill in. Legursky and Ben Roethlisberger had trouble with their snap exchange against New York. They now have two weeks to get that in order.

Pouncey’s absence hurts the offensive line’s mobility in the run game – a critical factor given that the way to attack Green Bay’s powerful front three is to force their 325-plus-pounders to play laterally. On the bright side, the Steelers at least won’t have to deal with the distraction of addressing Pouncey’s status every day for the next two weeks.

It's not the same D by a long shot.  Look at the roster changes dillhole.
9 points vs 0 points is what %?

I heard a girl scout troop 1st row tickets in one of the end zones.  Another reason Ben has 3 picks.

ben is a scumbag, but unfortunately so are a lot of great athletes (kobe, tiger, ray lewis, vick, etc) and they aren't held to any standard, so once they start winning again the crowd loves them for it.  the beauty of short term memories from the average fan...

I said that your comment was stupid... because it is.

So you can give opinions of who is stupid and who's not as long as you don't accuse a football player of a crime?  Here's what I do KNOW about the case.. I did a little copying and pasting from a response a second ago.   It's right here... below.  And yeah, that's good enough for me.  I'm allowed my opinion and I understand the court system and how it works more then most people...

1) Cop who took pictures with him just prior to incident coincidentally first cop to take the girls statement.  Not weird to you?
2) That same cop resigns from a solid career? If there is no corruption, why did he retire?
3) Surveillance video mysteriously vanishes,, gets recorded over.  Weird, no ???
4) None of Ben's friends, security guards, etc saw ANYTHING at the bar??? Weird??? What do you think?
5) Her friends weren't allowed to enter the bathroom to check on their friend with Ben's guards blocking the door? Why is that?

To you it's simple. Innocent until proven guilty. To me any man that hurts or takes advantage of woman is a scumbag.... that's how I was brought up sir.  And that's how my kids are being brought up....

By the way... The comment about meeting him... and knowing Reed wasn't bragging... In fact, if I told the stories to you... I'd only make your point for you so I conveniently left it out.

Cheers.

Rodgers will throw for over 400 yards and put in the best performance in Super Bowl history.  Jets D better than GB?  Green Bay outscored them 900%.

I know as much about the investigation as you do.... ZIP.

Do you think Ben paid 5 guys to go down there and force that bar owner to tape over what happened?

Did Ben pay off the cops to do it?

Did I DO IT?

You don't know. Neither do I.

The guy finds a way to win football games. I've met him a few times. I know Jeff Reed also. I DO NOT care about what they do off the field. I will never admire them as people and my kids won't either if I have my way.

I simply watch them play football and enjoy watching them win.

And thank you for speaking to my point... and I hope, for your sake... and to be able to take pride in your own children... hopefully they don't spew opinions about things that they don't know everything about.

I understand that this is a free country and we have the freedom to speak about our opinions... but casting aspersions about things when there are people out there that ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED... (police, Ben... the girl...) is an argument that is futile. You will never know... and neither will I.

I hope the steelers win - Not for any other reason than... I'd like to see it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were a joke for decades and have been a force for decades. They have a mixed history, but they obviously deserve respect. You, on the other hand, have always been an a$$hole and deserve $hit.

That was so well written it almost made me emotional and wanting to cry.  LOL
