Aaron Rodgers and Nick Barnett exchanged a few barbs this week, but the quarterback is claiming it is water under the bridge now. Rodgers recently called Barnett and the two spoke directly.

“I initiated the conversation; we ironed things out,” Rodgers said, according to ESPN.com. “I didn't think there needed to be an apology on either side. I reminded him I was the one who went to the third floor and lobbied to have everyone in the team photo. I realize people are going to want to talk about this at the Super Bowl, but everything is cool."

Their little public rift began when Rodgers irked Barnett by subtly complaining about players on injured reserve not sticking around and being near the team.

Barnett, one of 16 Packer players on IR, responded via Twitter (he has since deleted his Twitter account), saying, "All I wanted to be is included as a teammate nothing more. Looks like it has backfired on me. I guess that was asking too much... Sorry if I offended anyone."

If he did, all is well is now (according to Rodgers).

Killswitch, While i do support your musical taste, your football knowledge is distasteful.  So against the so called superbowl favs from the nfc altanta, doesnt return a single punt, because Rogers doesnt have a serious that requires one... means he is average?!??! wow.  Brutal......Rodgers is an elite quaterback.

Rodger's has not exceeded Favre at this point - yet. One or two seasons proves nothing. Roger's is definitely in the upper echelon of current QB's, only time will tell the rest.

Rodgers average?  Clearly he is one of the elite QBs right now.  Only time will tell, but to this point in his career Rodgers has outperformed Favre in everything except.....a Super Bowl.  That might change Sunday,

@Kill_Switch

I can't speak for how classy Rodgers is, or isn't.  However, if you think he is an average QB, then you do not know much about football.

Even if Barnett was in the wrong, why would Rodgers call him out publicly? That is poor leadership on Rodgers part. As the star qb, and presumably the team leader, he needs to approach Barnett privately if he has an issue. I know Barnett started it publicly, but he called out the team, not a player.

It is only a story because there is nothing else to discuss. The news and drama leading up to the game sunday has been thin and it is the media's job to write stories, rumors and see if they can grow legs. This sort of tactic isn't new. Just a writer trying to justify his occupation.
