Report: Fitz gave Cards a list of QBs he wants

Larry Fitzgerald is heading into the final year of his contract and he's made it clear that he wants to stay in Arizona. If they give him a lot of money. And if they get him a quarterback who will help the team win.

He's reportedly gotten even more specific, too, naming Kevin Kolb and Marc Bulger as guys he wants in Phoenix, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Kolb is apparently Fitz' top choice, but the most glaring part of the report is the lack of Derek Anderson, Max Hall, John Skelton and Donovan McNabb on the list.

McNabb should be one of the top free agent quarterbacks on the market, despite his age and poor 2010 performance, but the Cardinals aren't a team that's been considered likely to show any interest in him, should the Redskins end up not picking up his option.

Kolb's a nice target, but the problem is the Eagles will probably want a first-round draft pick in exchange for their talented backup signal caller. (Which would mean if the Cards give Fitzgerald everything he wants, they're going to severely hamper themselves long-term.)

Bulger's a much more realistic target, obviously, because he's simply the backup in Baltimore.

Either way, though, the Cardinals would be heavily catering to a single player's demands and still leaving themselves open to a nightmare situation if either Bulger (he is old) or Kolb (he is still somewhat unproven) didn't work out in 2011.

I think the Cards should do everything they can to help Fitzgerald. For starters I'd trade himto a team that needs a WR. Then I'd take the players and/or picks and find a different WR. Who the hell does this guy think he is? He wants to stay in Arizona but only if it's the team he wants built. He's only saying he wants to stay because it a way to try and look good when he doesn't resign. He can say a wanted to stay in Arizona but... I guess they should've kept Boldin. It's obvious that Fitzgerald is about Fitzgerald and screw everyone else. You can easily replace a wideout, look at the Broncos. Cincinnati needs a WR, trade him and get Green in the draft. They could land Gabbert too, and then they should be set at 2 position.

I agree that division is terrible, if this guy has a QB they can single handedly win games and ownthat division for 3-4 years

Yeah, because 90 catches and 1100 yards with Derek Anderson, Max Hall, and John Skelton throwing you the ball is "mediocre".....
Let's get real here, the guy is a beast, and if they get anyone with talent to throw him the ball he'll go back to 100 catches, 1400 yards, 10 td form. He's got better than average speed, is physical, and can out leap defenders for the jump ball. That's who Fitz is, maybe you should look back on the Cardinals super bowl run to remember.
27, with 5-6 years of solid production left, I say give him Kolb or Bulger (meh) and you immediately have a different offense that makes you a contender in the NFC West for years.

Who's this guy to demand who he wants???  I give it that he is good, however, he just had a mediocore season and without Boldin he'll always get doubled and no matter who the QB is he won't get the ball.  Moreover, he is a free agent next year and if he doesn't get what he wants he'll bolt?  Doesn't sound like a team guy to me.
