Report: Fitz gave Cards a list of QBs he wants

Larry Fitzgerald is heading into the final year of his contract and he's made it clear that he wants to stay in Arizona. If they give him a lot of money. And if they get him a quarterback who will help the team win.

He's reportedly gotten even more specific, too, naming Kevin Kolb and Marc Bulger as guys he wants in Phoenix, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Kolb is apparently Fitz' top choice, but the most glaring part of the report is the lack of Derek Anderson, Max Hall, John Skelton and Donovan McNabb on the list.

McNabb should be one of the top free agent quarterbacks on the market, despite his age and poor 2010 performance, but the Cardinals aren't a team that's been considered likely to show any interest in him, should the Redskins end up not picking up his option.

Kolb's a nice target, but the problem is the Eagles will probably want a first-round draft pick in exchange for their talented backup signal caller. (Which would mean if the Cards give Fitzgerald everything he wants, they're going to severely hamper themselves long-term.)

Bulger's a much more realistic target, obviously, because he's simply the backup in Baltimore.

Either way, though, the Cardinals would be heavily catering to a single player's demands and still leaving themselves open to a nightmare situation if either Bulger (he is old) or Kolb (he is still somewhat unproven) didn't work out in 2011.

Fitz kind of fell off the scope when Kurt left the Cards.  Would agree, Boldin has contributed, and complemented the Baltimore corp.  The passing challenges in Baltiore are with the QB and his awkward approach to throwing off his back foot.  Mechancis he Flacco could resolve if he worked on it.  Anyway, Bulger can't take the beatings anymore and Kolb, well, he took some hits as well that left him out a few games.  Winning the NFC west is not a big deal now because the defenses (O.K., and offenses) lack any real credibility.

Just my two cents.

The Seahawks own the NFC West and will for years to come

Ha ha ha...you are a comdeian.

Boldin is a 10x the player Fitz is

Based on what?  Fitz is elite!  Boldin is above average.

Would have given you worst post on this thread until "Truth" dropped this one:

Warner isn't even close to HOF.

Warner is a first ballot hall of famer.  At worst, he gets in his second year.

1. Warner will be in the HOF, but he has no where near the tenure required to be a first ballot guy.
2. Bolden is a very good reciever, Fitz is a great reciever.  One of the best in the game, no question.  I'd say top 3.
3. I'm sure the Arizona Cardinals will do whats best for the Arizona Cardinals, and hope that it makes their best player happy in the process.  I doubt that they would set themselves back just to cater to a single player.
Finally, I'm suprised that this info went public, as Fitz seems pretty businerss like when it comes to the game.  Maybe he's setting the table for his departure by doing this?  Just a thought.

Wow, what a set of balls this guy has.

"Here's a list of QBs i want here, get one of 'em and i'll stay." That's pretty much what he just said.

Larry Fitzgerald...i just lost a TON of respect for you.

Kevin Kolb and an Old Fart doesn't make up a list. If he wants another Kurt Warner, then he's not going to find it in a broken down Marc Bulger.

I think the Cards would be stupid to let that clown dictate their franchise. Really, pay me and do what I say or I will leave. Guess what the Cards already let their best reciever go this year. Boldin is a 10x the player Fitz is. Fitz isn't the best reciever on that team. Breaston can atleast get himself open. All fitz has is size. What they dont show is his drops or his inability to get open. He benifited from Warners ability to put passes in the right spot. Great recievers create. Rice did it with Bono. Irvin did it with Walsh (backing up Aikmen). Johnson with Shuab. Fitz needs to shut his trap. Oh wait scratch all of that. Good, go ahead, set your franchise back 10 years for one player. Doesn't matter anyway. The Seahawks own the NFC West and will for years to come. Cards 2nd worst franchise ever only ahead of the Redskins.

You guys are missing one big variable about the Cards fifth pick.... What do they plan on doing with it? Now if they plan on using it on a QB by all means trade it for a somewhat proven QB that is Kolb. In this scenario they risk much less and Kolb will come much cheaper and not have all the guaranteed money that comes with a top pick by way of signing bonus. Now if the Cards are thinking about picking up lets say a solid defensive player by all means go with the defensive player as their talent is much easier to access and yyou can then sign Bulger.

Kurt Warner is easily a Hall of Famer!! I don't know if he will be a first ballot selection, but it will be close. His numbers are very good, his sucess with teams who were always doormats in the past is a tribute to his talent. The fact that he had 3 great Super Bowl performances   and he was a very popular guy with a great backstory will make him a lock.

Why is it a player should dictate who should be there qb that should be up to the owner and gm these players now days think they have all the power. In four to ten years they will be a nobody again just like the rest of us souls working for peanuts and still enjoying our lives.
