Judge orders Ochocinco to pay for $11K in clothes

In an awkward -- but welcome! -- reprieve from the labor talks, news is coming out of Cincinnati that Chad Ochocinco is being forced to pay for $11,000 worth of clothes that he has in his possession but which he did not pay for originally.

Yes, that is a bizarre way of phrasing it, but I'm not going to be the one who uses the "s" word.

"My clients informed me they had given him ample opportunity to pay it and he didn't," Joseph Honerlaw, attorney for the clothing company, said Tuesday, per Kimball Perry of Cincinnati.com.

According to Perry, "authorities tried twice to serve Ochocinco with the lawsuit but failed" and after 85 no-showed his court date, the judge in question defaulted for the clothing company.

The clothes, for those interested, originated from Amm One (aka Exclusive Wear) and totaled an amount of $11,717.39. Among the clothes are two pairs of Mauri Alligator shoes, some expensive jeans, a pricey sweater and other assorted items.

Look, Ocho probably had some sort of agreement and/or tab at the store (that's what famous people get, I think), and he just ended up never paying for them.

But given the current circumstances going down around the league, the NFLPA probably doesn't want to see one of its bigger-name stars losing a court case that involves him paying for clothes.

Judge orders Ochocinco to pay for $11K in clothes

Poor Chad, he offered to pay the story ochocinco dollars a month.  But they were not willing to wait until 2023 to have the bill paid.  Ocho argued that it would only take 11 years and 7 months with $2.39 left to pay in December of 2023 but the store balked.  Where's the love?

Modern-Day Slave Owes $11K ...

Maybe Adrian Peterson has it right. The NFL is a form of "modern day slavery" ... only Ocho got caught wearing designer duds instead of the usual cotton-pickin' pants.

C'mon, Ocho. Get with the program.

*Editor's note: Peterson makes $11.7 million per crop year, Ocho only brings home $4.75 million.

Judge orders Ochocinco to pay for $11K in clothes

Did he think the store was just giving him some clothes to stink up. No wonder Palmer wants out of Cinci and think about this ,whats it says when you are out classed on and off the feild by terrell owens, thats why T.O. got top billing ahead of ocho. Imagine the prospect of having to deal with 2 over the hill loudmouth ,ballhogs everyday at work. Because anything that resembled a game was been gone from cinci the moment that moron changed his name.
I would'nt let my kids even go to a function if I knew chad johnson was goig to be there , hey chad it's your turn to kiss the baby and nobody even cares to watch you kiss it , or that fart of a show your on. Being a Steeler fan, myself and four freinds drove to to Cinci for last years game, nice stadium by the way as well as good chilli make mine a 4 way.
While in Cinci the fans were noticably angry about the way their team is being ran, and if they  had 80 mill in the bank ,they too would probably want to leave for a another team. It's a shame to see a division rivals who have been slapped in mouth by a morons mouth for so long that they turn throwing beers on families leaving the stadium carrying their sleeping children wearing the oppositte jersey. The Browns need to get this one right !!!. Follow suit ( no pun intended) make chad pay up for what you've givin him, just like the clothier did. If the browns step back and think as business people they are not getting paid for the clothes they are providing johnson either. How long will it take them to come to terms with fact if they shut him up 2 years ago palmer might not want to leave as badly and they might have been able to keep him. No NFL owners wants a dunk tank carnie barker as their frontman although Gary Busey would still be better on his worst bender than chad. the only way johnson can pay for the clothes the Browns gave him is by on feild production and strong lockeroom presence neither of which he is capable of.  It's time to make an EASY CALL if you can't make call, call the owner of Exclusive Wear let him cut Johnson for you. After that tell him to call palmer and tell him to com'on back cause he won't have to listen to rants that make a smart person dumber by the second or look at johnsons alligator shoes anymore.
