Kenny Britt must not think the personal conduct policy will be in effect anytime soon because, according to multiple reports, he was arrested on Tuesday for evading police after leading officers on a high-speed chase in Bayonne, New Jersey.

According to TMZ, police officers pulled Britt over for speeding around 4:30 PM on Tuesday, and Britt allegedly declined to be pulled over and sped off from the scene.

A few miles down the road, Britt allegedly pulled over and he and his passenger attempted to "flee" the scene ... by foot. TMZ says that "officers arrested him for alleged possession of marijuana and resisting arrest."

Britt has, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, also been charged with "evading to police, lying to police."

This all appears to be in the "allegation stage" at the moment, until there's a firm set of charges and an acknowledgement from someone close to Britt. (That gets a little tricky what with no contact from the Titans.)

But, provided the charges are correct, it's not the first time that Britt's had a run-in with the law. In 2010 Britt was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants (also in New Jersey) and then had an incident at a night club that inspired far too many CSI:Nashville jokes when Jeff Fisher decided to do a little investigation himself.

But Fisher won't be snooping around here, and neither will anyone involved with the NFL, because of the lockout. But you can bet that once the labor issues get taken care of, one of the things Roger Goodell will address is Britt's status for 2011.

I think someone upstairs may have been a Houston Oiler fan and it's payback time. First you get so close but fall a yard short, salt in a wound. Then you draft Vince Young a run first quarterback, name a running quarterback that has ever won a superbowl. You push Jeff Fisher a highly regarded coach out of your system after 17 years of outstanding service. Now Kenny Britt makes an appearance on COPS and cant even be represented by a Titan's attourney because of the lockout. Classic proof of how to kill a NFL franchise. Is Bud Adams related to Al Davis? Maybe Denzel was right and we may have to "remember the Titans" after all, cause they'll be gone.

Until owners stop picking up players from the garbage pile after run ins with the law theplayers will  think they are invincible.   If you have talent someone will always take a chance on you.  That's what all these players have going for them, talent, the ability to break a tackle, it's pathetic to say that but it's true, as a fan do you really care if Owens is on your team as long as he catches TD's and keeps his mouth shut?  Same with Ocho Cinco, Moss, etc...IMO Britt was getting high and couldnt get caught so he ran, on foot!!! hahaha, I'd love to see the cop who caught him!  Maybe someone should sign him!!!

How Stupid are these players that cannot keep clean.  Every week there seems to be another player in trouble with the law for something.  I dont get how all of these players are not perfect citizens outside of the field.  I know they are human, but if I was being paid millions of dollars and I could lose it by doing something stupid then I would make sure I was as perfect as I could be off the field as on.  These guys are playing this sport for about 10-12 years there is still plenty of time to do all the drugs, purchase hookers, shoot guns, and run from police after your playing days are over.

Way too many players are having similar issues with the law and for some reason the possiblity of loosing millions does not stop them.  While the NFL is talking they need to add an adendem to every contract that have severe penalties for getting in trouble with the law (outside of a moving violation) and make it a fact that they would lose money.  If you arrested and charges are brought against a player that player is now playing for the minimum for one year, until the charges are dropped or he is found not guilty.  If the charges are dropped or he is found not guilty that player is owed back pay.  I would gaurantee you if this went into effect we would see  significant drop in player stupidity.

Won't another reason Jeff Fisher is not snooping around the fact that he was let go by the Titans back in January?  Just sayin...  Randy Moss affect on Kenny Britt comparisions in 5...4...3..2...1...
