J. Haden
Barring another stabbing, we’ll feature on this Saturday night some lockout analysis from Browns cornerback Joe Haden (a fantastic young player who has all of one season under his belt).

Haden told the Cleveland Plain Dealer, “The fans are definitely on the players’ side. Definitely on the players’ side. The owners? Come on. They’re making billions and billions. We’re making millions, but they’re making billions. It’s like, Come on, guys.

“Let’s just get an agreement, let’s get everything right. It was good before the lockout. Let’s get it back to the way it was. I’m ready to play football, fans are ready to watch football. The owners are ready to sit in their suites and watch football too, so let’s just get it all together.”

Hear, hear!

Joe is only a kid still so he is used to jock sniffing college chicks and his boyz kissing his butt.  He has yet to realize that adults in the real world don't care.  We just want football.  If the owners got all new players, fine.  If the players somehow got all new owners, fine.  Just play NFL football and STFU

I never supported the players or the owners and the fact that Haden has to come out and say that the fans support the players only proves that the fans support neither the spoiled billionaires or the spoiled millionaires. Pro athletes do not play sports because they want most money. They always say that money is immaterial when you are doing something you love. I guess that means that some pro athletes are liars.

When a person speaks incoherently and says things like "hey man, come on it's like....yeah you know it" you know the guy is not worth listening to. Don't get me started on his double earrings.

The NFL player's union is not unlike alot of other unions out there that have lost there place....states are doing away with teacher's unions and the list goes on. I really think that the player's union realizes this and is trying to basically keep there jobs! This lockout could get ugly really quick. The owners are asking for more money off the top to pay for all of the benefits that the players want...I.E. Increased retirement pay, concussion pay and every other type of pay. The money has to come from somewhere but the players don't want to give into that. I do believe there will be some give and take from both sides just before camps start and a deal will be worked....hopefully anyway!

i am NOT for the players..though i do understand  the owners point of view..i am still a fan, and understand that if the players win this,it WILL cost us fans more to go to a game..
the owners take the gamble with their investors ,hoping they make a profit off the investment they made.. whether it be a million or a billion dollars ,the money is their reward for the investment they made ..it IS a risk they take.. if they lose money,it is their loss, not the players..the players will always get paid..have you ever seen a team,or a player give back money to a team, owner, city or state because of a team being nonprofitable or losing money?? and i dont mean restructuring a contract so that they could sign,or resign another player?? NEVER..
heres how they both can come to terms, and even the fans can win..let the players invest in their sport, and team they play for..kind of like a commission at the end of the year..if the team makes money, the players will to with the investment they made in their own team.. if they lose money, well,we all know what that means..
