Giants PR department ripping Rex Ryan via Twitter

For some reason, Rex Ryan’s new book seems to have struck a nerve with a few folks within the New York Giants organization. The Giants’ theme against Ryan’s autobiography (in which Ryan says the Jets would have beaten the Packers in Super Bowl XLV) has essentially been, Shut up if you’ve never been to the big game.

Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon is now leading the charge against Ryan and his book (if we can call it a “charge”…which we probably can’t given that that this story will almost certainly blow over until the two teams square off on Christmas Eve).

Looks at some of the tweets Hanlon recently sent out about Ryan and his book:

“You gotta be in it to win it.”

“Tom Coughlin wrote a book, too. It was about a team and [a head coach] that won a Super Bowl.”

“Based on my observation, uh, no. RT @BobKat7: @giantspathanlon Jesus H. Christ! Does this guy EVER stfu? #RyanTheClown”

“Did you say Super Bowls? RT @HeartlessJersey: @giantspathanlon keep missing the playoffs!”

“RT @AngryNYfan: @giantspathanlon @ProFootballTalk Rex is a very good coach but every time he opens his mouth I thank God we have Coughlin”

“Guy can coach his big ass off, I agree RT @vinnykey: Rex certainly says stupid things but bottom line - 2 years and 2 AFC Champ games. Not many can say that. @MarchettiT”

There are more, but you get the idea.

You obviously have limited knowledge in football. That pass that he made was pure luck, not a good pass. How about the fact that he ripped through the playoffs that year. He DOMINATED the playoffs that year. Someone else here called him mediocre. That is funny. If you look up most sports writers lists of top 10 QBs of the last decade, Eli is on there list. He consistantly puts up stats. His stats consistantly get better, and he has a ring. Sanchez is only as good as the guys around him. He plays scared and looks like he is on trial for murder every time he throws a pass. He had a few game winners this season because of his outstanding cast of teammates.
Facts are facts, the Giants win rings, then Jets dont. No one cares how many AFC Championships you win. It only counts to win the one big game. Sorry.

As a Jet's fan, I neither support or decounce Ryan runnin his mouth, as long as he keeps improving this team he can say whatever he pleases. As for the Jets vs Giants debate, past is in the past, all I care about is whats goin on now, and the way it looks the Jets have a better team.. Also, Id take a yound decent QB that is improving every year over a veteran mediocre one that seems to be getting worse and more pouty as the years go on

the jets would have beat Green Bay in the super bowl...Someone should tell this fat sack of dung you got to get tot he game before you can win the game--this team is a comedy and are led around by a ring master that is nothing but a loud mouth fat tub that hasnt backed up one of his predictions yet. no wonder everybody laughs at this tub when they ultimately choke---at least win your division fatso before you start spraying your stupidity around publicly.  go see if you can get the other half of your stomach tied to see if that helps you lose weight--it is too bad when you draft 2 enormous linemen and in the photo shoot the coach is the biggest slob in the pic. Probably couldn't wait to see the new feet the team drafted over teh weekend---J-E-T-S---LOSERS.

Jets are a 40 year joke. The last time the giants beat the jets they went on to win the super bowl. 2012 sounds  super all over again. Sorry jet fans. Your misery continues. The Joe Namath curse is alive and well.

I'm as anti-Giants as anybody, but I love this. I'm sick of hearing the fat slob that is Rex Ryan run his fat mouth. It's a shame, because what Rex has done in his first two seasons as Jets coach has been nothing short of remarkable. He'd gain a lot of respect if he just kept his smack talk behind the scenes.
