I have two things to say to Steelers safety Troy Polamalu:
T. Polamalu
1. Congratulations

2. Thanks for writing a post for me.

Here’s what I’m talking about. On Saturday, Polamalu issued this statement (photo courtesy of Polamalu’s website, notice that all of his hair somehow seems to be tucked under his cap…!!??)

I'm thrilled to announce that on this cool, sunny Friday morning I donned a cap and gown, walked across the stage in the beautiful Alumni Park at University of Southern California, and was handed my diploma. I'm officially a USC graduate! While I feel excited and fulfilled, that's not really what I want to focus on in this message — I want to talk about the reason behind my decision to go back and finish what I started.

The majority of top picks in the NFL get drafted before they complete their college education. I truly love football and it's such an immense blessing and privilege as an athlete to be given the rare opportunity to use those talents at the highest professional level, but it's certainly not a replacement for an education. So I decided to finish what I started and walked that stage today not only because it was very important to me personally, but because I want to emphasize the importance of education, and that nothing should supersede it.

In other Polamalu news, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review reports that Polamalu is doing well rehabbing his injured Achilles in Los Angeles. There was a slight tear in the Achilles suffered in mid-December on Polamalu’s touchdown return against the Bengals. The injury was bothersome for the remainder of the season. He is expected to be 100 percent come training camp.

Troy Polamalu's latest accomplishment

Congratulations. Troy has always been a constant professional in everything he does. Im glad to see that went back and finished his degree. Maybe after suffering an injury he realized he was human and there would have to be life after football. Not like this man is gonna need a degree to find work after football but its always nice to know u got one. Maybe some of the other players in league will take this as an inspiration to get theres as well.

Troy Palamalu's a great NFL player and he seems like a great person from what I have seen.  Congratulations to Troy and this sets a fine example.

I hope Troy has a long and healthy career in the NFL.

Troy Polamalu's latest accomplishment

It is great to hear good news every now and then about an athletic. Mostly all that is reported is when they are picked up for drug and alcohol use. Caught with a hooker or whore. Fighting with their girlfriend or wife. Speeding without driver’s license, or some other equally situation they make an apology for and so after get caught again.

Welcome as a graduate alum of SC, it is great to see you with your cap and gown and a SC diploma in your hand to hang on your wall or where you would want to put it.

I wish more athletics would follow in your foot steps and take the final step in getting their diploma.  They can really discuss getting an education.

Most do not get a diploma upon being drafted by pro sports, yet they are harping on the importance of getting an education.

With the introductions they announcer should say if they graduated from college or not. Ladies and gentlemen welcome Reggie Bush who attended SC, Here is Troy Polamalu a graduate of SC.

This would prevent those wanna bees from those that are actual graduates.

If the dude that wrote this post truly has a degree from SC as he claims, I would say Polamalu hasn't really accomplished that much.
