M. Vick (US Presswire)
After nearly three years on the market, Michael Vick’s infamous house on Moonlight Road in Hampton, VA (sight of the Bad Newz Kennels dogfighting operation) has finally sold. The buyers? An animal rights group.

An organization called Dogs Deserve Better purchased the property for $595,000. The 4,600-square foot home originally hit the market at $757,000. The group made the purchase with a 30 percent down payment secured through donations and a loan. An anonymous donor has also agreed to make payments for the next 10 years, but the group is also looking for additional funding. The plan is to raise $3 million, which would pay for the entire piece of land (valued at $2.6 million) and allow for necessary construction to make it the group’s new headquarters.

"I think by us overtaking this property we are winning for the dogs,” said the group’s founder, Tamira Thayne, according to the Associated Press. “We are, in essence, giving this property back to the dogs that were abused there by using it to help other dogs just like them.”

According to Curbed.com, Thayne and her cohorts plan on naming the new facility Good Newz Rehab Center for Chained and Penned Dogs. (Really, guys? Err, guyz?)

Huh - this is good for the dogs?   You mean this is good for for the organization.  I'm sure the dogs are all like woohoo we got Vick's house we showed him.  It's wasteful spending and the group could have better used that money to set-up mutiple locations around the state to help educate the future generations and care for the animals subjected to the torture.  Instead they showed greed and wasteful spending IMHO.

So this group wants to spend 3 mil on this place for a new headquarters??  Really, is this the right move?  I think 3 mil could be put to better use, DDB should pull its head out of their ass and look for something a little more realistic and spend the money on the animals.  You guys are as big of a joke as Vick!

The audacity of this group to buy this home is ridiculous.  How dare they buy Mike's old house and try to use it for good publicity.  What a bunch of scumbags!  Helping animals?  What the hell is wrong with people?  The previous posters are right.....this is all about a group of people trying to make a good name for themselves by pulling off the incredible and talented Michael Vick and also this is a definite case between the Republicans and Democrats!

Good sarcasm.  I think the judge forced Vick to volunteer countless hours in a local animal shelter.  For those who say Vick served his time?  Yes- the key statement is he SERVED time.  He didn't learn anything from it- other than not to get caught doing it again.  I don't give financially to the animal rights groups, but I do have more compassion for animals than I do people.  Why?  Because people like Vick are scumbags and deserve the type of mercy they gave to these unfortunate animals, all to stroke his ego (and probably something else).

Hey Vick supporters- stroke this!

EHS is a total dumb f*ck piece of trash who probably fights dogs & supports Vick.  How would he know what's on Fox news?  Because MSNBC told him.  Total sheep drinkin' the koolaid.  Maybe if you watched them you would find out what they report on.  Instead you can't pull your head out of Shutlz a$$... oh wait, he's been suspended... out of Olbermann's a$$... oh yea, he got fired.  Couric, nope.. she quit.  Oh well, soon you won't be getting the news from anyone by Media Matters and Soros... and at that point, you may as well shoot yourself, as you won't truly even be a human being, you'll continue to be puppet.

I give you 5 stars for your post, simply because it's the truth.  I am so amazed that the Libs want to shut Fox news down and chastise every move the network makes.  Obviously they consider Fox News a threat.  In my opinion, Fox is more liberal than they even need to be.  Let the Reupblicans have a friggin' voice in this country.  One media outlet out of the dozens of liberal networks has the Dems panties in a bunch all the time....perhaps people are actually starting to come to their senses?
I just got done reading another piece of trash in rolling stone magazine.  Another Liberal media outlet.  This month, they bash Fox News and claim they don't report news, they fabricate it to conform to the GOP.

What rubbish. No mention to the left wing CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, NY Times, etc.

All of those outlets are absolute rubbish.  This country gets what it deserves because of the left wing nuts.  Thank you PELOSI!

Give it a break people....    No one person can say that they have live the Pefect life....   Justice has been fully served.   Just let it go..............
