A few days ago we brought you the news of former Giants LB Michael Strahan’s endorsement of marriage equality for everyone.

So, with the New York state legislature teetering on the brink of passing a law that allows the legalization of same-sex marriage, former Giants hero David Tyree has weighed in on the matter.

And though there have been some high-profile athletes who have come out in favor of the law – Strahan is one and NHLer Sean Avery is another – Tyree takes the opposite approach (and the same attitude that the most commenters took on the original Strahan post).

Namely, Tyree says anarchy will rule if same-sex couples continue to marry.

"This will be the beginning of our country sliding toward, it's a strong word, but anarchy,” Tyree told the anti-gay group, the National Organization for Marriage, via the New York Post. "How can marriage be marriage for thousands of years and now all the sudden because a minority, an influential minority, has a push or agenda ... and totally reshapes something that was not founded in our country.”

It’s interesting, though. In his interview, Tyree  talks about how his father wasn’t in the home when he was growing up (he says he was impacted severely by that). But a fair question to follow that would be: Well, what if he was raised by two mothers in a committed relationship instead of just one mother? Or two fathers? Would that have been so much worse than growing up in a single-parent home?

You can check out the video below to see the full interview.

They are afraid if liking it too much, like all the anti-gay closested homos in the republican party who pass laws against gays but are always caught having sex with male prostitues and in bathroom stalls.

100% false, dude. It's pretty much an even split as far as "the public" is concerned.

What about arranged mariages?   your parents telling you who you are going to marry.  They still do that in some parts of India

lol....the "New Left"....is this what they are calling those who arent in complete agreement with conservative Christians who have infiltrated the US government and are making laws that state Christianity and the Bible should be the rule of the land? Get an education. Do you know who WAS a "Lefty"?
Jesus for one, the Founding Fathers and those who fought against the Romans throwing Christians into lion pits of entertainment. Oh, and dont forget safety standards at work, 5 day work week, 8 hour work day, bathroom breaks, and woman can leave their husbands when they are being beaten and raped by them, even though the conservative Christian have for yeara tried to bring back the old laws, those that the bible supports, where a woman is not being raped if it is her husband having sex with her.

"Jesus" never said anything about relationships between two people. However, he did tell his followers to leave their wives, children and family and follow him. Yes I state "wives" because at that time, it was a normal situation where one man had many wives, gave his daughter to a group of men to be gang raped, and most likely had incest.

"...and now all the sudden because a minority, an influential minority, has a push or agenda ... and totally reshapes something that was not founded in our country,"

~ NY Giants Receiver David Tyree, on how minorities getting equality causes anarchy and destruction of a country. The same type of words spoken when his ancestors were trying to become equal to White People.

Tyree needs to look in a dictionary to find out what anarchy means. Two people forming a loving comitted relationship is not anarchy. Perhaps his early life--arrested for drugs, knocking up his girlfriend while sleeping around with other women--would be a better example of anarchy.

David Tyree is merely stating what Jesus taught.

David Tyree is a hero for Christ for standing up for what Jesus and His Church have always, and will, always teach about sinful, immoral, unnatural, perverted and disordered sexual unions.  They are an abomination, and for liberals and secularists to tell us otherwise is atrocious and extremely ignorant.  "Gays" make up LESS THAN 2% of the population, yet we are bending over backwards to appease their sinful ways.  Satan surely rules this world.
