RoethlisbergerPosted by Josh Katzowitz

For Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, the lockout hasn’t been a terrible occurrence. For one, he’s had the time to finalize his plans to get married in late July (where apparently -- and strangely -- it’s drawing comparisons to the royal wedding). And for two -- and for most likely the reason you would care about -- is because it’s allowed his broken right foot to heal.

“It's doing really good,” Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Tribune Review on Friday. “It's healed up. Obviously, it helps when I'm not cutting and planting and doing all of these different activities. It's really come a long way. I haven't had too many problems with it recently."

He had plenty of problems with it last year, first breaking it and then aggravating it later in the season against the Bills in late November. In fact, the pain got so bad that there were times during practices and games when Roethlisberger wasn’t sure he could even walk.

Now he feels better, though Roethlisberger said he ultimately might need surgery on the foot (an option he actually considered after last season).

"I could have had surgery, but according to the doctors it would have been a really nasty process because of where the break was. It was better off trying not to do anything," Roethlisberger said. "It's going to be something where we're just going to have to, in essence, play it by ear. If it continues to be as painful as it was at the end of last year, then I'm going to probably have to have the surgery."

So rape is ok with you?
You do know that he was charged with rape exactly ZERO times, let alone convicted.  Hopefully the same number of times you have been, but I doubt it.

Is that the same foot he and his Steeler colleagues keep jamming up their mouths?

Big Ben's foot is fine, women not so much

But I really don't care what he does off the field.
He is one hell of a competitor on the field and will lead us to more Super Bowls!

Wow....if that is not the biggest joke of a statement, I don't know what is.  You don't care what one of your players does off the field as a human being as long as he plays really good football on the field.  So rape is ok with you?  What about murder too?  IS that ok?  Anyone who says "yes" like you is a also a joke to humanity.

I think that Big Ben will need surgery on his foot.  He is a tough guy and will battle through it though.  That said, the Steelers are screwed this year.  The amount of tallent on that team is very low.  The defense is steller and always will be, but on offence who do they have? Rashard Mendenhall was a huge disapointment last season!  Both for the Steelers and my fantasy football team!  With Big Ben's bad foot, they are going to be one dementional.  That is a one way road to missing the playoffs.

Ben is what he is...   a young socialpath.  A good QB, and an immoral, arroagant sexual predator. He should have to register with the authorities whenever he changes adresses.
The "Carson Palmer" rule has benefited the Steelers QB more than any other. Ironically it was caused by a Steeler. You can't hit him low via the Palmer rule....    But, he's too strong to tackle high and most times he'll make the throw in that situation with a defender hanging all over him.  Irony.

you have a point about his disgressions! But I really don't care what he does off the field.
He is one hell of a competitor on the field and will lead us to more Super Bowls!
And you know this man, which is why you are jealous and feel the need to hate on him.
Go right ahead and hate...PLEASE, I think #7 feeds off the negativity. Have a nice day and life moneybags!
