While the lockout continues, Bengals LB Dhani Jones just keeps on finding ways to work. And it wouldn’t surprise Bears LB Brian Urlacher that Jones has landed another TV gig.
The New York Post reports that Jones – who had his Travel Channel show “Dhani Tackles the Globe” canceled after two seasons – will host VH1’s game show “Tons of Cash” this year.
According to TVmole.com, the show will feature 14 contestants with financial problems who will get one ton of cash up front. The way to keep that money is literally to keep it in their possession while they travel from Los Angeles to Las Vegas (I’m guessing they won’t be driving cars with the money in the trunk or something silly like that).
I’d expect Urlacher to check in with the show, considering this is what he said once he was told Jones failed to rank him in his top-10 linebackers list and said Urlacher could no longer get off a block.
"I think we were drafted in the same class, right? Is he a 2000 guy? I haven't heard anything about him since then,” Urlacher said. “I saw him on a TV show with a bow tie on though. So I know him better for how the way he dresses than what he does on a football field."
