Oh, so this is what happens when a lockout ruins all of your offseason workout plans and you have to start compressing an entire pre-2011 schedule into late July and early August. You get hurt and you get cramps, and you can certainly expect to hear more about this.

According to the Baltimore Sun, 11 Ravens players suffered minor injuries at practice today during the first day of training camp.

At least seven players went down with cramps, including rookie WR Torrey Smith, while OT Eric Vanden Heuval and LB Jason Phillips had to be carted off the field.

Meanwhile, LB Terrell Suggs, who wore a wrap around his right hamstring, did not practice. Neither did S Ed Reed, who is dealing with a family situation and could report to camp by Saturday.

So yeah, not a great start to the actual NFL season for the Ravens.

Heat cramps in July?  Who could have seen that coming?  This is the first time I've heard anybody call a cramp an injury.  The Baltimore coaches may need a refresher course on the importance of hydration, hydration, and more hydration in the extreme heat.

I was reading that the NFL was going to give Columbus,Ohio a pro team but didn't because they thought that Cleveland would want one also.
Isn't Ohio State aleady pro? (I neglected to copy what I was referencing).

Wow ravenmaniac, I thought Davidos post was pretty spot on.
Then you don't know DavidO too well. He has acknowledged on another thread that he is mentally inept as to sports and generally cuts and pastes things he reads until his intelligence level comes up to that of a 3rd grader learning to play dodge ball during recess.

This is the same guy who flys a Washington Nats fav banner but hangs out on Pirates game threads with catchy posts like.....6 outs to go, 3 outs to go. strike 3, while others are discussing baseball.

Wow ravenmaniac, I thought Davidos post was pretty spot on. If anything he gave the ravens much more credit and respect than most steeler fans would have.
Maybe you could let everyone borrow your copy of "sports for the incredibly stupid" so we can all be as enlightened as you.

I think the hate generally travels in a Northwestly direction from Baltimore,
And stupidity about sports generally begins and ends in Potomac Maryland.

Go back and read the copy of "sports for the incredibly stupid" before you make any more a fool of yourself that you already have considering you have cried about your lack of any sports knowledge on the ALL FRIENDS thread on page 1344.

I love it when a supposed National's fan posts all over the Pirates game threads and claims to be a fan of that team just to garner the support of everything Pittsburgh.

Credibility there DAVIDO........NADA.

You do much better posting as usual on the GENERAL BOARD...that way you can at least claim stupidity as an excuse.

Leave the sports talk to those who actually know something.
See what I mean about the direction where the hate is coming from?  Steeler fans generally acknowledge the quality of the Ravens organization. While a number of so called Ravens fan spend more time hating on the Steelers and their fans than rooting for their own team. These Raven fans even prefer to have AV's showing their disdain for the Steelers than showing loyalty to their team. Too bad, since there are a lot of good Raven fans who can talk intelligently rather than spewing envy filled venom such as the post above.

The Ravens are retooling their line-up and have let go some stalwarts like Todd Heap. Looks like they like what they have in the WR they drafted since they let Mason go and allowed the Redskins to sign Donte Stallworth.
