Nearly a dozen Ravens felled by minor injuries

Oh, so this is what happens when a lockout ruins all of your offseason workout plans and you have to start compressing an entire pre-2011 schedule into late July and early August. You get hurt and you get cramps, and you can certainly expect to hear more about this.

According to the Baltimore Sun, 11 Ravens players suffered minor injuries at practice today during the first day of training camp.

At least seven players went down with cramps, including rookie WR Torrey Smith, while OT Eric Vanden Heuval and LB Jason Phillips had to be carted off the field.

Meanwhile, LB Terrell Suggs, who wore a wrap around his right hamstring, did not practice. Neither did S Ed Reed, who is dealing with a family situation and could report to camp by Saturday.

So yeah, not a great start to the actual NFL season for the Ravens.

Wow, you Ravens and Stelers fans really hate each other. Your worse than us Packer vs Vikings fans. Seriously though, cramps should not be considered "injuries". Media calls them that so they can "shock" you with the "injury" report. Dumb article.

Too funny. I get that it's the first day of camp and I understand that there have not been the usual OTAs to ensure that players are sticking to an effective off season exercise regimen. But in the words of the four letter network... C'MON MAN! You can't have this many players going down to "want to" injuries. Cramps on day one come from one of two reasons; either the team is pushing too hard or the players just aren't in shape. I don't think Harbaugh was pushing. It's crap like this that shows just why the Ravens can't climb over the Steelers and win a title; champions put in the work whether someone's watching or not. Chokers catch a cramp and watch from the sidelines.

First of all....This isn't even newsworthy.... Cramps are a way of life at camp, after all, it was 97 deg. out.
Second...... I'm sure alot of camps will be experiencing the same thing this year.
Third...... You idiot Steeler fans should worry about your own group of "wimps"
See you Sept. 11th

Hang nails, stubbed toes, these should not be listed as injuries.  Those wimpy Ravens!

Same could be said of the Steelers after a game against the Ravens.
