Huzzah! Haynesworth passes conditioning test

A day after he failed his conditioning test -- or didn’t take it, depending on who you believe -- new Patriots DL Albert Haynesworth has, in fact, accomplished something that took him many, many tries last season in Washington.

He was in good enough shape to pass the conditioning test that will allow him to practice.

That’s the word from the Boston Herald, which writes that Haynesworth actually might not have taken the test Saturday (even though coach Bill Belichick certainly gave the impression that Haynesworth didn’t pass it).

Either way, Haynesworth is scheduled to be on the practice field Sunday for the Patriots.

Huzzah! Haynesworth passes conditioning test

WOW, He miracuously passed his conditioning test on what seems to be the first or second try, depending upon who you believe.  He somehow found the strength to overcome what he could not in washington.  Maybe, just maybe the conditioning test had nothing to do with it.  Yes, he has been known to have and attitude and exibit an uncooperative attitude, but so did corey dillon, randy moss, but when they came to New England-----------BAM--------------

-- they were cooperative, attentive, and humble, for the most part.  Like I said before, when players come to New England they buy into the system because they know that fighting the system is futile.

Huzzah! Haynesworth passes conditioning test

Belichick always puts guys in position to be successful.
He has Haynesworth passing his conditioning test and if coach says haynesworth is doing well than that's good enough for me.
Also remember that he will not be asking haynesworth to play a position or in a scheme that will not allow him to be successful, the minute Albert becomes successfuil again and contirbutes to the TEAM he will play even better, work that much harder which will make him even more successful.
Success begets success, Belichick knows it and has preached it through his way of having players practice and play.
As for the assertion that the patriots will be "done" when Brady is gone, that's ridiculous because the Pats will have a succession plan for Brady and his name is Ryan Mallett and the good part ios that he won't be asked to take the reigns until Brady retires which is at least 3-4 years away.
He will have time to be around Brady who is a workaholic as well as the rest of the Pats vets who are the ones who keep & maintain the "Patriot way" as opposed to it coming from Belichick or Mr. Kraft on the locker room level.
It starts from the top and coach belichick relies on his vets to keep the order in the locker room having guys be accountable, to "do their job" he always says and stresses those words "do your job" if you do your job, if everyone does their job then the team as a whole is successful.
The Patriots don't reach for players in early rounds like Darrius Heyward Bey as one example, they take a thoughtful, reasoned approach with sound scouting and a system that players buy into.
Why do you think players take less to play there? why do they want to play there? Because they know that if winning a superbowl ring is their ultimate goal then the Pats give them their best chance, have they won a SB recently, no but it sure beats sitting at home when the playiffs begin because you can't win the SB unless you're in the playoffs to begin with.

Huzzah! Haynesworth passes conditioning test

Just wait till the end of the season, he'll be the diffence on that team.

Haynesworth made his Patriots debut during a walkthrough Sunday, then donned his pads for limited contact drills in the afternoon. Whereas he was just an observer in the morning, Haynesworth delighted fans later when he blasted through the offensive line deep into the backfield on a couple of plays.

He also got his share of rest after lumbering up and down the practice field in the afternoon heat.
Some good news, but hey its the begining of camp!

Haynesburp passed the test the Patriot Way, he f**king cheated!!!  You maggots r done when Brady is done see S 49ers!!!

Who are the Raiders, are they still in the NFL, telling a teams fan base they are done when there QB is done is brillian, is there a franchise you cannot say that about, well atleast one that is good.

I guess its better than rooting for a franchise that is only know for one thing now and that is having some old increpid owner who lost his mind years ago, have fun rooting for the laughing stock of the league.

Just a hater with no sense of humor. Move along folks, nothing to see here, move along...

Absolutely right...move along but be careful.....watch out for all the broken scotch bottle, be sure you're wearing shoes.

Davido.......face it, you are an inept non sports knowing 60 year old drunk that hangs out on all the general board threads such as Please give me 5s with all the warning trolls...and I mean all, not just the warning trolls but all the beg for 5s threads. you hang out on the All Friends thread with all the baseball old ladies, yeah that's right DavidO, they are mostly women who like baseball. Your posts are generally cut and pasted from stuff you read while sitting in your Potomac Md house drinking yourself into a stupor. So go back to the Pirates game thread and post those zingers like "3 outs to go" "6 outs to go". "We need a double play".

By the way...why are you flying a Nats fav banner but hanging out on a Pirates game thread all the time?......BANDWAGONNER.

Why do all steelers and Raiders fans sound like infantile little crybabies on these posts? I know both of your teams have wonderful reputations as being pillars of integrity and honesty. Rape has nothing to do with football I know, Big Ben did nothing wrong. Raiders have never been known to aquire scum-bag thugs. Who was that DL who filmed him and his buddies gang-raping some girl. there's a smart fella, film yourself doing that. Great idea! You guys are so full of crap with this spygate stuff, you act like your teams are somehow innocent of any nonsense ever. I seriously hope the Steelers lose in the plaoffs on a blown call, I'd say the same about the Raiders but they'd have to make the plaoffs first.

Of course he passed it, this is Bellicheck not Shanahan. Shanahan was trying to get rid of Haynesworth before training camp. Bellicheck actually wants him around to play.

Huzzah! Haynesworth passes conditioning test

Such a witty (and old) comeback regarding cheating...  Do the Raiders still play in the NFL?  I thought they were kicking a** in the CFL?  You guys would fit right in as some Capital One "extras" when they do their clueless, medeival ads...
