DeSean Jackson ends holdout, joins Eagles camp

Over the course of the last week, DeSean Jackson has reportedly ended his holdout not just once, but twice. We're happy to inform you that "DeSean Watch" is now officially over, as the wide receiver has reported to the Eagles camp.

Jackson was, per our Eagles Rapid Reporter Kevin Noonan, around on Monday morning, undergoing his physical. However, he wasn't actually seen by reporters until he pulled up to camp shortly after lunch on Monday afternoon.

"Wasssup," Jackson said, per Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News.

Jackson also informed reporters that he'd be practicing on Monday afternoon but was otherwise quiet.

There shouldn't be anything shocking about Jackson eventually showing up to camp, even though he's been pretty adamant about wanting a new contract and even though everyone (including QB Michael Vick) seems to have known he'd holdout a little bit.

Jackson stood nothing to gain by holding out until he actually got a new deal; he stood to lose a pile of money and a year of service. And the Eagles aren't exactly timid about holding their ground with players who holdout. Additionally, is Jackson really going to miss out on the chance to take part in the team of his -- and everyone's! -- dreams?

Doubtful. And it doesn't sound like he'll be too far behind because of the time he missed either.

"DeSean's in phenomenal shape, he's been hitting the weights and he'll have a phenomenal season," Vick said, per the Eagles official Twitter account. "He's ready to go."

Not a good move to hold out. Didnt even make sense, but this kid has not been the sharpest tool in the shed so far anyway.Like spiking the ball before he crosses the endzone. Good thing hes fast.

Djax isnt even the best WR on his own team. Of course he has huge play ability but Maclin is a much bigger weapon and has had almost twice as many receptions and more TD's. He should just play his last year of his contract (without getting hurt) and then complain that hes under payed. If he can have another solid, injury free season he will deserve what ever he wants. Until then he needs to keep his mouth shut and be a consistent player

First and farmost this was a bad move for Jackson to holdout in the first place.  He is only making $500,000.00 this year and it cost $30,000.00 a day to hold out.  You have to know you are at a disadvantage holding out.  You ever gave you that advice should be fired.  You should have came to camp and played it out this season and become a free agent.  Speaking of free agent he would have lost a year of free agent elgibility is he didn't report before tommorrow.  That's the real reason he came back.Cool

Not sure they are going to re-sign him right now.

Well you don't pay your all-pro WR/KR punter money and expect him to remain an all-pro WR/KR do you? I'm sure that if the Eagles were paying their GM the same wage as their janitors they would have signed all of those free agents too.

Yes, because DJAX isn't full of himself at all.

Go Terps!

Whoever said T.O was better is full of it .
T.O was all flash and no substance. Full of himself too .
He stunk personality wise and blew a good chance to win. Now he's a hasbeen looking for any desperate team.
DJAX would run circles around him now.

I think they've learned their lesson and will pay the guy. They just wanted him to show up first.

I would hold out to if i was only getting paid $500,000 compared to a backup QB (Young) that is getting way more and has proved nothing. Youngs record looks good but take out the teams that actually went to the playoffs and his record sucks not to mention his 5 td's compared to 10 int's. He also fumbled 10 times. Give the kid some money.
