Terrelle Pryor's been one of the most talked-about players in the NFL this offseason, thanks to his awkward status with the NFL for the supplemental draft and the inevitable eventual decision by the Raiders to snare him in the third round.

Now it appears he's finally a member of an NFL franchise, as he's in California with the team and set to sign a four-year deal with Oakland.

"We expect him to sign tonight," Raiders exec John Herrera said, via the Associated Press.

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the contract includes a $586,000 signing bonus and base salaries of $375,000, $485,000, $595,000 and $645,000 in each of the respective years. The 2011 number does not include the amount (more than $100,000) that Pryor will lose because of the five-game suspension he has to serve to start the year.

Pryor will be eligible to begin practicing with the team Friday, pending his signature on Thursday of course, and could conceivably play with the team in its final preseason on September 2 against the Seahawks.

Raiders sign Terrelle Pryor to four-year deal

how about adding stupid to the young black and rich comment, race baiter--put the race card away jacka$$ your inspirational leader with the big ears currently residing in the white house has worn it out. Wonder if Pryor wored into his deal the rights to sell raider sivler pants tokens to all oakland area tatoo shops.

Raiders sign Terrelle Pryor to four-year deal

So sad that someone actually thinks this way.  You're right.  It's because they are black and have more money than me.  It has NOTHING to do with killing dogs or being a massive liar to the NCAA.  Yes.  It's only color and money.  Grow up, take a look in the mirror and stop blaming everything on color.  Sometimes (although I'm sure it's very hard for you to believe) color has nothing to do with liking or disliking a person.  It is actually (gasp) morals, character, and performance!  Oh no!

Raiders sign Terrelle Pryor to four-year deal

I will preface my comments by saying that I'm a Browns fan and fully understand that my team has does nothing noteworthy in well...forever.  However, they seem to have good leadership now and are slowly moving in the right direction.  The Raiders....well, they will win nothing until that old man Al Davis is dead.  All he wants is a bunch of guys with good 40 times, not realizing none of them can play football.  Say hello to another 4-5 win season Oakland.

Pay cut for Terrell?

Do you think the contract for Terrell Pryor could have actually been a pay cut from what he made from THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY? When you add up on the benefits with free tats, free food, drink, cars, cash might be closer than people think. I also noticed on another quarterback, Jefferson from LSU, police took 49 pair of shoes from his apartment.....how much do you think he paid for those? It is a joke to think these guys dont received ridiculous amounts of benefits, it happens, not saying right or wrong but it is out of control

Raiders sign Terrelle Pryor to four-year deal

Southviennaman, your exactly whats wrong with sports...no integrity...cheat to win.  As far as Pryor, its basically a no risk signing from a money standpoint...from a team that has pis@ed away money on guys like russell and heyward-bey, this is a drop in the bucket.  Basically the raiders got a poor mans cam newton here...they both have athletic ability, extremely questionable character issues, and will both fail miserably at the QB position in the pros...at least in the raiders case they will spend some $23 million less than the panthers are about to lose.  For the few that think pryor will be a good QB, or even more idiotic...the next Brady...what the hell did you see at OSU that would even make you think this for a second?????

Good deal

This is chump change in the NFL. Oakland made a good deal. They get a chance to sign a guy to a 4 year deal and see if they can turn his raw athletic ability into something they can use. If he had played his final year of college, he would have been drafted next year and cost some foolish team a LOT more to sign him.
Personally I think he will never be a good NFL QB but now the Raiders have a few years to experiment with him and see if they can make him productive in some way. I still think he could convert to an excellent possession type WR. His size and speed combination certainly provide the building blocks for that switch. TP could be a TO type WR eventually (right down to the arrogance). Eeeire hu?  Good luck Raiders with the TP Show.
