Terrelle Pryor's been one of the most talked-about players in the NFL this offseason, thanks to his awkward status with the NFL for the supplemental draft and the inevitable eventual decision by the Raiders to snare him in the third round.

Now it appears he's finally a member of an NFL franchise, as he's in California with the team and set to sign a four-year deal with Oakland.

"We expect him to sign tonight," Raiders exec John Herrera said, via the Associated Press.

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the contract includes a $586,000 signing bonus and base salaries of $375,000, $485,000, $595,000 and $645,000 in each of the respective years. The 2011 number does not include the amount (more than $100,000) that Pryor will lose because of the five-game suspension he has to serve to start the year.

Pryor will be eligible to begin practicing with the team Friday, pending his signature on Thursday of course, and could conceivably play with the team in its final preseason on September 2 against the Seahawks.

Sorry to say you are wrong, but I think he will surprise - is probably going to be the next Brady in a few years - those teams that passed on him will be second quessing themselves. You just watch

SVman says it all"as long as we win I don't care what happens" but according to buckeye fans no other college can get away with anything

LMAO @ that contract! Gotta love karma. Had he not been such a greedy douche he would've no doubt gotten more money than that. After flopping at QB he will move to wr where he will fizzle out. 3 years from now he will be out of the league. 5 years from now, flat broke with no college degree.

i'm a buckeye fan and i'm glad he's in the NFL.  you have to do what you have to do, to get through college.  i probably would have taken money in college if it was offered to me.  tressel knew about it and he was trying to protect his players.  i would have done the same thing if i was in tressel shoes.  pryor is and athlete and i hope he does great.  without him the buckeyes would have had bauserman as QB last season and would have lost 4 games instead of losing 1.  as long as they win, i don't care what happens there.

I hope he signed for enough money!!! With his life style and money spending, he may be broke before he ever plays his first game. But like was said in an earlier post, this is a cheap investment. So if he goes belly up, the Raiders have not lost a lot.
