Chris Johnson tells 'fake Titans fans' to 'STFU'

Earlier on Wednesday, we brought you the story of the MRI that Arian Foster posted on Twitter. This drew some attention. But probably not as much attention as Chris Johnson's string of tweets on Wednesday afternoon that were directed at 'fake Titans fans.'

"Can these fake Titan fans STFU on my timeline I don't have a regular job so don't compare me to you and I can care less if uthink I'm greedy," Johnson tweeted.

For those not down with the hip language that the kids use, "STFU" is a non-too-friendly request for someone to "shut the [expletive] up. (The really cool kids, like me, have moved on to saying "Shut the front door!" but that's neither here nor there.)

If you're a real Titans fan and feel offended because of Johnson's tweets, you shouldn't. He still loves you.

"If you was a real fan my tweet would not bother you it only make the fake fans upset," Johnson added later, while also tweeting "Luv the real fans."

Chris Johnson's Holdout

Obviously, these tweets are related to Johnson's contract situation -- he's currently holding out for what I like to call "Manning money," and won't be satisfied until the Titans make him not just the highest-paid running back in the NFL, but one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.

We've covered most of this ground already. If you want a primer on why Johnson shouldn't get paid the amount of money he wants from Tennessee, you should absolutely read my colleague Ryan Wilson's excellent breakdown on the situation.

It's also abundantly clear that the Titans can't/won't trade Johnson. And we know that Johnson isn't a great candidate to cave and just show up for work until the Titans actually satisfy his demands for more money.

But this latest social-media barrage is indicative of a guy who's extremely frustrated with his situation -- the Titans may eventually pay Johnson the amount of money he wants, but by flailing out at fans on Twitter, whether they be "real" or "fake," Johnson isn't doing himself any favors in terms of showing how calm he's taking the negotiating process.

Chris Johnson tells 'fake Titans fans' to 'STFU'

Chris Johnson is the face of the Titans' franchise. The problem with these sports' stories and most of the comments is that they come from people who have slave mentality. No one made a big deal about that horrible quarterback Eli Manning signing $100 million contract, but it has to be explained and discussed for days when Mike Vick makes $100 million. I don't hear the fake outrage when Brady signed $100 million but as soon as a Black athlete sign a huge contract, it's an issue. The masters/owners of the NFL and NBA are billionaires because of a game, but the players that bring in the money and fans shouldn't get paid. That's the problem with this country, all the money is concentrated with a few people who are billionaires waiting on them to "trickle it down to you". Problem is, it's never going to happen. Hasn't happened since that pimp Reagan said it would. It's the biggest scam ever and you've all bought it hook, line and sinker. Kim Kardasian is a multimillionaire because of a sex tape, but that's ok. Carson Palmer is a multimillionaire who couldn't win a playoff game if his life depended on it, but that's ok, but as soon as an African American gets his money, it becomes a problem. How about that bum Alex Smith in San Francisco that's been on the payroll for years with no improvement, but Cam Newton is already a bust, but Tim Tebow is a saviour because he's one of you. None of you would hire them on jobs, because those are reserved for the deserving good ole boys, kinda like the NCAA is comprised of 80% Black athletes but none of them are "qualified to coach". 100s of teams, but no one is qualifed. Don't won't Blacks on welfare, won't hire them on jobs, won't let them in any of the decent schools because their taking spots from "more deserving" whites, but then you scream thug and wasting their money to the top of your lungs. Hypocrites

Chris Johnson tells 'fake Titans fans' to 'STFU'

The NFL,including its players has changed the rules, gotten so much bigger than the game; and over all shut fans out of the game. This is because of the revenue its players and owners share; when 90 percent of the stadiums, are tax payer built and they have and the balls to black out games; including preseason; like here in Tampa; something needs to be done! They should all enjoy their new stadiums; we all paid for; because i doubt they will ever get tax payers money again; from a town like Tampa for example. Sports fans are all ages; guys like my father who just like the game, no matter what teams  playing; they do not care about what contract a millionaire is holding out for! The NFL, its players , its owners should get a grip; because hey as much as youve already puked in our penny saved, penny earned faces ; and we just take it; these repeated tweets calling out fans; the blacking out of the games may one day just be enough to say goodbye! you can only root for a scum bag for so long, until its just a scum bag ! even a giant like the NFL should understand great things can come to an end, if you push it too! My name is Donny, and im a Redskins fan; who loves football !

Chris Johnson is a punk ! I don't care if you do have an unusual job, you are under contract right now and should honor that contract. You people that blame the owners for not honoring contracts forget one thing: It is their team. Any boss anywhere can fire an employee for poor performance and for not showing up to work.

Johnson is not a team player. His comments only show he is ignorant and stupid. He doesn't care about the fans who, were we to suddenly stop going to the games and stop buying team merchandise would not be affording him the money and fame his punk a$$ is enjoying now.

No one knows for sure, but I am going to agree with some others when they say that Johnson might otherwise be in jail. He has the intelligence, common sense and compassion of a lowlife thug. You sicken me Johnson. The NFL was here long before you were and will be here long after you are gone and forgotten.

Your right Johnson, you don't have a job like the rest of us. Most average Americans could make that salary for 3 or 4 years and retire without worrying about blowing it. Life is so unfair isn't it? Let's pray for a millionaire who wants more millions doing a job everyone would love. This isn't a matter of should he get a raise, because by NFL standards he should, but to act like such a drama queen is just sad.

Chris Johnson tells 'fake Titans fans' to 'STFU'

I'll make it easy for you to answer.  YES.  There are actual real Titans fans.  I am one, and have been since they first came to Tennessee and played in Memphis and then at Vanderbilt's stadium before what is now LP Field was finished (Then known as Adelphia Colosseum).

This franchise has had some highs and some lows, but a true fan stays a fan through all that.  There are a good number of us out there that are proud to wear the Titans colors, even when they have a bad season or three.

Fake Titan fans?  That begs the question, are there actual real Titan fans?  There are so many better things to do in Nashville than go and watch a bumbling team led by glass jaw Hasselbeck.  I guess if he was talking about fantasy football players, like in Fosters idiotic ramblings, I could see his point.  But who would want to be a bandwagon fan for such a horrible team?

My nephew, for one, you idiot. You have a lot of room to talk considering your team's QB is Jay Cutler, who when he is not throwing INTs is running for his life and being pummeled into the ground. Your team managed to get to the NFC title game last year with mirrors. This year, they won't even be a .500 team.

Chris Johnson tells 'fake Titans fans' to 'STFU'

Chris Johnson has lost his mind (what was there of it to begin with, that is).

Before I get into things too much, I will preface my comments with this:  I live in the Nashville area.  I have been a fervant Titans supporter since they moved to Tennessee.  I own a Chris Johnson Authentic Replica jersey (for those who aren't aware, those are the sewn jerseys), as well as numerous other Titans jerseys.  And yes, I do play fantasy football and have had CJ on my teams since he was a rookie.

The vast majority of fans that I spoke to in this area when the contract issue came up agreed that Johnson deserved to make more money for the calibur of play he gave to the Titans.  When the initial demand came out that CJ wanted "Top Money," many even agreed he deserved to be paid like the top RB that he has become. The first true fissure between the fans and Johnson was when he demanded to be paid like an elite playmaker, along the lines of the wide receivers and the quarterbacks.  No running back is worth that unless he is a guaranteed 2000 yards a year rushing, 500+ receiving, and a combined 20+ touchdowns for the DURATION of the contract at the type of money Johnson thinks he deserves.

So now, Johnson is coming after the fans that have supported him as a player, and thought he did deserve some sort of pay raise, even if not on the level he seems to think he is worth.  His holdout already has caused a number of fans to sour on him as a player to the point he would almost have to push 2000 yards again just to get some kind of good will returned.  With his latest outburst of stupidity, he rails against TITANS fans who are interested in seeing the team do well; in other words those who are fans of the TEAM and not the PLAYER.

So to Chris Johnson, I say screw your self-rightous indignation at fans who are sick of putting up with your particular brand of manure. Yes, you are a good player, and a genuine game-changer when you are on the field.  But regardless of what you think, 3 years does not make you an all-time great.  Yes, your name is in the record books for your 2,000 yard season.  However, the Titans did not win that year, so how much of a true game-changer can you really be?  Get your head out of your ass, take what is a very generous offer as is, and report to the Titans already.  If you wait too much longer, who knows, maybe even your teammates will start to turn on you too.

Come on now, the contracts aren't guaranteed so when players stop producing at the level they are being paid, they get cut.  So stop with the BS about the players should play what they signed. Thats ridiculous.  He should absolutely be paid more
