The Die Hard franchise is classic tradition of Bruce Willis swearing and blowing stuff up. But the newest installment, A Good Day to Die Hard, is likely to be Willis' last rodeo as a super-power-lacking everyman hero.

Who will replace him? Well, how do you feel about Tim Tebow as John McClane? HAHA, what?

But, no, seriously, someone in charge suggested this.

"What do you think of Tebow in the lead?" Fox Filmed Entertainment CEO and Chairman Tom Rothman asked Jim Rome on The Jungle Wednesday, while announcing the newest rendition of the franchise.

Rome's response -- "He might be too nice" -- was a little more measured than mine -- passing out in my chair as angry blood rushed to my face -- would have been.

But he's right.

Tebow couldn't play the role of McClane, whose very existence is predicated on the fact that he's always a) hungover and b) saying really mean and inappropriate things to terrorists.

You think Tebow can have the angry, sullen look of a man who decided to forego shaving for a three days and indulge in a heavy combination of beer, cigarettes, scotch and self-loathing? I don't think so. (But come to think of it: Rothman, call me.)

Anyway, it's not going to happen. But give credit to Rothman for figuring out what the one topic he could use on a sports radio show to actually get people discussing the newest Die Hard movie.

And/or making fake Tim Tebow-inspired Die Hard posters. A job well done, sir.

nmbronco1.....you should be used to this if you are a Broncos fan.  I remember a few short years ago that the trade of Cutler to Da Bears for Orton and the signing of your head coach McDaniels was the best thing since sliced bread!  All the posts here on CBSsportsline stating Cutler blows and we have the QB in Orton for the future and McDaniels will lead you to the promised land....BLAH BLAH BLAH....Denver fans are the WORST and are so moronic that this should not surprise you.  All this we want Tebow...well that will turn into get rid of Tebow easiliy by mid next season.  I feel sorry for John Fox because he actually is a good coach for you guys.

One of the worst, most idiotic articles I've ever read here on CBSSports.com.  The author should be ashamed of himself for writing this junk, and the site must not monitor what is being written and posted here.  The open idolatry of Tim Tebow by a certain segment of NFL fans is as disturbing as it is ridiculous.  Tebow has proven nothing yet in the NFL and looks more like a bust so far that an emerging star.

By the way, you had to take a shot at UNF because you know you can't defend Tebow.  It's a good argument falacy...ignore the fact that I'm right by changing the subject.  Thank you for proving my point.  Tebow's not worth defending so what do you want to talk about now?
